Well first of all, if you are TTC, I would assume that he would know to ask two weeks after ovulation. And secondly, your history of loss would make this a definite no go for me. What if something happened and by the time your husband even found out about the pregnancy you were having complications? I think letting your husband in on something so important to both of you is much more important than a big reveal.

I tried to do a reveal with our first later the same day I found out and he was really disappointed that he wasn't there to find out when I did. He couldn't believe I knew all day and didn't tell him. Therefore, for every other pregnancy, he was by my side when I poas.

@Coral: I waited a couple days for my first but not weeks. What about doing the cake and saying it's an early birthday celebration? Win win?

@Coral: I totally get it. I love @2littlepumpkins: idea of celebrating his birthday early. In our house that would be totally feasible if something I got him could be used before his birthday.

Honestly, I would be puking less than two weeks from POAS so this is all totally hypothetical for me

My husband had just left for a three week work assignment abroad when I realized I might be pregnant. I took a test myself and found out I was. I waited the three weeks till he got home to tell him.

OK, so not to be morbid, but early miscarriage is common. If you lost the pregnancy you'd be devastated and he'd be confused. That would be a crappy thing to keep from him. You'd also not be drinking coffee or wine and would be going to bed at 8 and puking round the clock. He'd probably figure it out.

ETA I reread and see you have a history of loss. That would make this a no go for us. I'd find another exciting way to tell

I wouldn't want to rob him of even 1 min of joy! I told DH right away both times

I don't think my DH would care if I told him later but I personally don't think i could keep that from him for 5 minutes.

I voted other. I told my husband in a fun way the first time I got pregnant. But then had a miscarriage. When I got pregnant with my daughter the next cycle, I told him immeadiately. After we started ttc again, we had three losses in a row. After the third loss, and discussing if we should take a break, he told me that he actually preferred to have me wait to tell him. I told him I would try.

When I did get pregnant again, I tried not to tell him. But refusing a sip of wine at a family Christmas party totally gave me away.

I think two weeks is doable, assuming he doesn't guess.

I personally couldn't wait that long and I think DH would be bummed if I didn't tell him for 2 weeks after finding out for sure.

No, but I tend to be a hot mess in the first few weeks especially and need my husband to temper the crazy.

I found out about our third about two weeks before christmas. I really considered not telling him until christmas morning. In the end, I just quietly told him in bed one night a couple of days after I had taken a good solid digital test. He was very glad that he was able to process the surprise of a third baby without the chaos of christmas morning.

There is no way I could hold out for more than a couple of minutes, haha. Also, we typically don't tell anyone IRL aside from my OB until the second tri, so I would definitely want DH's support in case of a loss.
