One of the things I love reading the most are day in the life posts, also videos! I find that days are so different forever one and that over very short periods of time routines change drastically. They give me hope when I'm going through a rough patch (like tiny naps) and give me warning when everything is mellow. I was wondering what a day looks like for some of the bees! Post if you want to, or if you have a blog where you've don't posts like this post a link!

I'll do today with my 14 month old. (Also. Totallllllly feel you on the tiny naps. My son was a 30 minute mapper. Brutal)
Up 7:15 gave a bottle of milk (we should probably be weaning... Haha)
830 breakfast for both of us.
845 I shower
Clean until 945
Friends arrive for play date until 1115
12 lunch
1245 ds is asleep
During nap I did some internet surfing and worked out
215 ds is up
Grocery shop until 330
Hang out at home until dinner
Dinner at 530
Play until bath
Bath 730 then bottle and bed by 8Sorry if that's a bit jumbled. It's raining today. Usually we go for walks and play outside a lot.

I'll do a typical weekday with my 15 month old and my nearly 3 yr old:
7:45 - DD2 starts to stir, I get up and have a coffee and breakfast whilst she wakes slowly and plays quietly in her cot; DH has left for work more than an hour earlier.
8:30 - Get DD2 up and ready for the day, followed by DD1 who is usually awake by this point
8:45 - breakfast for the girls
9:05 - 11:45 - playgroup three days per week (the other two days we stay home), which we walk to and from, about three to four miles round trip each day.
12:00 - nap time for DD2, snack time for DD1
1:00 - nap time for DD1, I enjoy the next two hours of relaxing and/or doing chores etc. Now that it's nice, I'm usually in the garden either reading or working with my flowers and plants.
3:00 - DD2 wakes up and has lunch, followed by playtime in the garden if it's nice or in the playroom otherwise. DD1 can get up anytime after this time as she will have had her two hours rest time, usually she sleeps until 4:00 though.
4:00 - DD1 wakes and has a late lunch
4:00 - 6:00 Playtime and usually a FaceTime with my mom; occasionally do a bit of dinner prep for our proper dinner if the girls are playing nicely and settled (this is witching hour(s) though so it can be a bit hairy!)
6:00 - dinner for DD2, snack time or a small dinner for DD1 depending how much lunch she ate
6:45 - bath time for both girls together on alternate nights
7:15 - bedtime for DD2 - jammies, stories, and then down in her cot
7:30 - DH arrives home and starts cooking dinner whilst I shower.
7:45/8:00 - bedtime for DD1 - story and a snuggle in bed, then she's down.
8:00 - dinner time for DH and I, and then the evening to ourselves.
That's our typical day and they work pretty well. We have a regular babysitter who pops over one afternoon per week so I can get out and run errands. We do all of our grocery shopping online, and weekends are when we go out and have adventures as a family, weekday outings are almost exclusively playgroups with the occasional play dates thrown in!

@Ree723: such a full day! Is your play group at people's homes or at a community center or something? I've been thinking about going to a local one this summer.

@msplatypus: They are all community playgroups. All of the churches here host playgroups every week, usually once per week. With so many to choose from though, there is something on every day. We go to three different groups at three different churches. They're all about £1.50 per family per session, so very, very reasonable! The girls love them and they are really nice places to meet people and give the kids an opportunity to socialise.

I'll do a typical day with my almost two year old.
7am - DS wakes up for the day, so my husband and I get up too. He's our alarm haha. We get him dressed, and then he plays quietly while DH and I get ready.
7:45am - We go downstairs and eat breakfast. DH leaves for work.
8:15am-9 - DS plays while I try to do chores
9am-10:30 - DS and I go to the park and he plays on the playground/we go for a walk
10:30-11:30 - We're back home, and I play with DS or try to do chores
11:30-12 - Lunch
12:15pm-2 - DS takes a nap. I typically rest during this time, because I'm pregnant and tired!
2-3pm - We play inside, or go out in the backyard
3-5pm - We run errands like go to the grocery store, or we go to the park/meet up with a friend
5-6pm - I make dinner/clean up a bit
6pm - Daddy is home! We eat dinner and he plays with DS afterward
7:30pm - Bathtime and stories for DS
8pm - Bedtime for DS

Typical day with my 17 month old:
630 -700 - wakeup, change diaper, get dressed
715 - breakfast
745 - 830 - independent playtime while I clean up and drink coffee
830 - 900 - I play or read with him or we do couch snuggles with a cartoon as a treat
930 - either go for a walk or to the store depending on what errand I have to run
11 - lunch
1130 - 2/230 - naptime. This long of a nap has been recent and a wonderful, beautiful thing.
2 - 430 - play outside.
430 - in to cool off and he plays while I prep dinner
500 - dinner
530 - 6 - back outside or a walk
6 -645 - bath/milk/bedtime story
In his crib by 7 pm and out. once we got through a recent growth spurt, it's been nice! -

@msplatypus: I'm due the beginning of August, so I'm about 29 weeks right now. I get tired out chasing after my toddler all day! But the good thing is that I'm in much better shape this pregnancy than my last one.

A typical day for my 15 month old:
7 - wake up, nurse, hang out in bed and snuggle
8 - breakfast and play time/errands/play date etc.
11 - lunch
1130-230 nurse/nap
230-6 play/errands/play date etc.
6- dinner
7- book, pjs, nurse, bed! -
We are in transition! Up until yesterday we were on 2 naps (12 mo) and our day looked like (unaccounted for time is generally just spent chilling/playing):
7:30- up and bottle
8:30- breakfast for dd and me
9:45-11:15- nap, up and dressed for the day
11:30- bottle then run our daily errands
1:00 or 1:30 (whenever we get home)- lunch for dd and me
2:45-4:30- nap
4:30- bottle then usually do some chores (laundry, vacuuming, whatever) then play
6:30 - dinner for whole fam
7:30 - start of bed routine
8:00 - in bedNow we are on 1 nap and so far this is what I think it will look like (we are also transitioning from bottles to more solids so its a bit of a mess..)
7:30- up and breakfast then bottle right after
9:00- snack then dressed for the day then out to run errands
11:30- lunch for dd then bottle
12:30-3 nap (at least... she slept this long the last 2 days, i hope it is the norm!!)
3:30- snack then bottle then chores
6:30- dinner with the whole fam
7:30- bed routine
8:00- in bed -
A day with my 2.5 year old and 14 month old.
8:00 - they're usually recently awake or I go get them up on days DS has daycare. Breakfast for the 3 of us, DH leaves for work before they wake.
8:40 - out the door for daycare dropoff 3x a week. Me and DD will either run errands after or come home to play.
10:00 - DD naps. If DS is at daycare then I workout and prep lunch and dinner. Other days I either go in the yard with DS, do an art project or he plays while I workout if I didn't get it in before they wake up. Sometimes a snack depending on how much he ate at breakfast.
11:30 - DD is up. We play and get ready to pick up DS.
12:30 - lunch for the kids. DS eats at daycare but he'll sit with us and have fruit.
2:00 - DS naps
2:30 - DD naps
4:30/5 - they're up, if on the early side then I'll give them a snack. I don't let them sleep later than 5:30. Sometimes I'll take them on a walk or the local playground.
6:30 - dinner
8:10 - DH gets home and it's daddy mania
8:20 - DD bedtime
8:40 - DS bedtimeWe're pretty structured but with tons of time for free play. Once a week we visit my parents, maybe we'll get in a beach picnic with some friends, they're definitely more flexible now that they're older.

@msplatypus: yes when she's 18 months. Same as big bro, 3 mornings a week while I go back to school. I like to have 2 weekdays with them at home so we can do fun stuff without the weekend crowd (the zoo, beaches) and seeing grandparents.

How do everyone's kids sleep so much‽
My DD1 turned 3 last month, DD2 is 15.5 months.
5-5:30 AM: DD2 is up
Breakfast and playing, cartoons, until DD1 wakes
6-7 AM: DD1 is up
Breakfast for DD1, a snack for DD2
If we have a play date, it's usually at 10 AM-12 PM, and it means my 15 month old will fall asleep for 5 minutes in the car and won't nap.
Otherwise, play inside or outside 10-12.
12 PM: lunch
12:30-1:30/2: play
If DD2 will nap, nap at 1:30 or 2
DD1 doesn't nap, so she has "quiet time" such as painting, coloring, or iPad games, while DD2 sleeps. Every once in a while I can get her to catnap during this time.
3 or *sometimes* as late as 4 PM: DD2 is up
After nap until 5:30 or 6: play, maybe the park or grocery store/ other errand
5:30 or 6: dinner
Bath
Play
Stories
Bed at 7- 7:30 for DD2
Bed at 8 or 8:30 for DD1They need different things different days, so the schedule is never set in stone.

Typical day (that I'm not at work) with my 28m old DS....
8:00 - DS wakes up
8:15 - he has breakfast in my bed (don't judge, I'm super pregnant and tired lol) and we watch cartoons together while I put my makeup on
10:00 - We usually run errands, go to grandma's for a visit, or go to the playground
11:30 - 12 - lunchtime
1:30-3:30 - DS naps (I usually do too)
4 - small snack and we usually go outside to play
6 - dinner
6:45 - back to playing for a few minutes
7:30 - bath, bedtime routine
8 - DS bedtime -
DS is 2.5, his daily schedule usually looks like this:
730 wake (rolls around, reads, plays)
8/830 calls for us
830-930 yogurt, milk, breakfast
play time / activities / snacks or lunch if he's really hungry
nap 1230-1/130 or 1-230/3
lunch usually after nap / snacks / play time / activities
MMC episode around 630 sometimes
