I have never been an active user but looking for some support. I went in for my 16 week app on Thursday and was told there was no heartbeat. The baby was measuring 15 weeks 3 days. I was admitted to the hospital immediately and started the process to deliver my baby. I'm devastated. The whole process was traumatizing. I went through delivery with no meds (my choice) and then ended up needing a d&c for the placenta. Our baby was born on my youngest daughters bday. I just don't know how to process any of it.

Oh my, I'm so sorry that you had to experience this and that you are hurting. My latest loss was around 11 weeks so I can't relate or give advice, but there are so many women here with so many experiences. I'll pray that you find the support and comfort that you need.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Our third son was born sleeping on June 2, 2016 at 18.5 weeks. We also went through L&D. Our situation was a bit different as we chose to terminate the pregnancy for medical reasons - he had a very grim fetal diagnosis and we did not find out until 17.5 weeks. It was the most devastating thing that has ever happened in my life and not a day goes by that I don't think of him or grieve for him. The first few months were a thick fog of grief and sadness...eventually the pain lifted a little and while I have not "moved on", my loss settled into its proper place in my life. It will be so hard for a while, but know there will be light and hope again. Thinking of you

I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's incredibly unfair and heartbreaking. I lost my daughter in Jan 2016 at 23 weeks, we had found out she had no heartbeat at a routine appt. What helped me most was finding a support group (check your hospital), going to weekly therapy sessions, and finding ways to honor my baby. I made a Shadowbox that hangs in our living room, we designed a stone for her at the cemetery, I wear a bracelet with her name every day as does my husband and son. The grief does not go away but you do learn to cope with it. I've found it comes in waves - I tend to have a few good weeks and then a string of bad days. Every feeling you have is totally normal and okay. Please make sure you are getting the support and help you need. Thinking of you and your family. Also I recommend Glow in the Woods as a website to check for more online support.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I have never experienced a miscarriage, but I recently lost my baby at 19 weeks in Nov 2016. We terminated for medical reasons after finding out that our baby had a chromosome abnormality.
It's a lot to process emotionally and I'm sure you're still in shock. I still struggle with what we went through now 3 months later and I think about my baby everyday. Be gentle with yourself over the next few weeks. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I went into pre-term labor at 23 week and had to be induced, but did it med-free. My son died in childbirth. I had to have a D&C after because the placenta didn't come out (which I hear is common at that stage) and it was awful... It's been over 2 years and the pain is less on a day to day basis, but it does come in waves and some days still are unbearable.
I am here for you if you need me. Be kind to yourself. You're not alone in this.

thank you for all the thoughts and prayers! And I'm sorry to any of you that have experienced loss and for sharing your story. It helps to not feel so alone. I never could have imagined how incredibly painful it would be. We've named our baby and are having a burial tomorrow.

@littlecasita1122: I was also going to suggest a support group. My son passed away when he was almost 6 weeks old, but I'm part of a support group that is full of women have experienced loss before and after birth, and it is extremely helpful
