Dealing with loss at 16 weeks

    @Jruess: so glad that you are having a special service tomorrow. Please do share your baby's name if you are comfortable. I also agree with others who mentioned therapy. I've been going to individual therapy since the day after our son died and found a support group as well. They were lifelines to me in the early days

    @winniebee: we chose the name Jamie Ray. We aren't certain on gender but in my heart I believe Jamie was a boy. That is what my oldest predicted. My husband and I both have first names that start with a J. I never wanted to give any of our kids a J name but it felt right to share that with Jamie. Kind of like sharing a piece of us. Ray is my husbands middle name. It feels so important right now to share why the name is special so thanks for asking.

    The service was beautiful. It was at my home church out in the country and right by my older sister, whom my parents lost at 20 weeks gestation. The sun was shining and the grass was green. Although I'm still heartbroken, my heart feels at peace for a moment.
