I loved See Kai Run "Smaller" for boys shoes. I read somewhere that it's better for them to learn to walk without shoes on...but actually laziness and lack of need is why R hasn't worn any yet : ) He has a pair of SKR suede mocs and I'll probably put him in a pair T had at first too. Their feet grow so quickly at first I hate spending $40 on a pair of shoes!
I don't think R will be walking anytime in the next few months...he JUST turned 9 months. However, he did climb up a petite flight of stairs at a museum today He's a little insane. He bashes his head at least 20 times a day. Letting go while pulling up...pulling up on all things dangerous. Etc etc. He is eating like a pig, it's no wonder, he's burning 5000 calories a day!!
R is so inconsistent with sleep. I've tried sleep training in a half assed way but he goes frigging bananas after 5 minutes. Sometimes he sleeps through the night. And sometimes he's up at 1 and 5 like last night. Ugh.

@winniebee: I loved that picture of R climbing the stairs! Such a big guy
J is bashing his head all the time too. Quite the learning curve

I put C's first shoes on K tonight - too big and she is not a fan. She would not stand in them and just kept trying to get them off.
Took them off, she stood up, took 5-6 times. Several times! Holy smokes, people. She'll be 10 months in a week.
She got a couple of pairs of Robeez for Easter, I need to see if they fit!

@winniebee: I loved the photo of him climbing, he looked like a champ! These second babies are little courageous souls.

I know, I feel like they need a helmet! Darcy is reckless. No walking here she takes a few steps but nothing that would constitute walking as her mode of transportation.

@MamaG: unbelievable! The IG video was great!
@FaithFertility: Have a blast!

J has discovered the dog food and he can't be stopped... I forgot how annoying this stage can be. Our house is much more open concept than our last house was (when M was in this stage). And of course last time I could focus all of my attention on one kid. I need to up my baby-proofing game!

@MrsF: awwww hahah G hasn't found that yet, but is obsessed with the bar stools to pull up on ...not very stable
We need to up our baby proofing too, I see that being a Honey-do project for his days off
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: benefit of dog is cleans up from high chair mess. downfall is baby eats the dog food ; ) we are half-assed baby proof right now and it's a bad situation lol!

@winnibee: no joke on doggie clean-up! we were at my in-laws last weekend and actually had to clean up the floor after meals -- total bummer (and SO much food! OMG)
@josina: how is E liking the new daycare? and how are you liking it?!
@banddmommy: forgot to ask - how have you been feeling? are you still BF, or did your supply take a hit once you got the BFP?
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: It's so funny - with Molly our dog got so much food off the floor. With Jack... he hardly drops anything! The kid LOVES food I'm concerned for my future grocery bills.

@KayKay: I'm feeling ok. I have another OB appt on Tuesday. We had appt a few weeks ago and had betas done. At US it was early and we were only able to see sac, fetal pole, etc. We are hoping to see HB this time. I'm still BF Darcy but I really want to wean her. My supply has got to be low, but she is eating a ton of solids.

Whoooo what a day, definitely different now as parents to get away, but we had so much fun!
G LOVED all the animals and well just the different atmosphere!!!!
She did GREAT!
WOULD NOT drink from her cup at all, but I found out they had a beautiful Baby care center right by Shamu stadium that had mother rooms for nursing, AC and comy rocking chairs so we went into there a few times, so nice!!!!!

@MrsF: man, H is obsessed with the dogs water and food. He likes splashing in the water. Bah! I have had to start hiding the when not being used. Sorry, pup.
@MamaG: She will be walking in no time!! BTW h started to do a little sitting jumping-bean thing similar to her today. Not quite as high, but it made me think of her
When we were at my in-laws this last weekend, H discovered the stairs and was up the first flight in 10 seconds the first time It made me really glad that we don't have stairs, because he would constantly be trying to climb. Ha.
Can't believe how quickly these babes are growing and developing!

@FaithFertility: So glad that your trip went well! How nice that they had a great setup for nursing moms too. It makes such a big difference - more companies should be family-friendly like that!

@theotherstark: Oh boy! J climbed up one step on our deck today and I'm sure he would do more if he had the chance. We're in trouble!

@KayKay: we both love the new daycare! Friday when I dropped E off he waved bye right away, like see ya mom! No tears at all, naps are great and he takes all 3 bottles plus we made it a whole month without being sick!
@FaithFertility: Glad you guys had a great day, so much fun!

@josina: That is soooo great about daycare! Definitely makes work days easier!!!!

This thread moves too fast!!!!
With regards to the shoe conversation, Xander wore See Kai Run Smaller for his first shoes and we LOVED them. Will be getting some for Logan, but he's not close to walking yet.
We had our 9 month appointment on Friday! No shots, thankfully!! Here are his stats:
Height: 29" (65th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs 7 oz (42nd percentile)

My stinker wouldn't drink well from the sippy this weekend! I need to find out from daycare what they are using. I thought it was take and toss cups. Ultimately, I don't mind bottle feeding now that we are down to four feeds, but I want to mimic their success and progress at home.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: I seriously can't believe that 19 lbs is less than 50% percentile. Babies are SO big these days. Back in my day most babies were 20 lbs at a year!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Right?? I thought Logan was HUGE, but NOPE! It's crazy!
Also, he's sooooooooo close to crawling!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: it's crazy! Everyone who sees him comments on how big jack looks - 20lbs 2oz - 39%!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: go Logan go! (Although I'm currently chasing jack away from electrical cords rather than drinking my coffee - but we both know the grass is always greener
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: people comment how Ryan is so chubby or "not hurting for food" and I know he's so small for a boy! Nice work on crawling!
pomelo / 5660 posts
I get the opposite comment, people ask how old and they comment on how small she is. Umm look at her mom, I'm 5 feet tall. My husband is over 6 feet but I'm glad my little lady is petite.
