Matthew has his first ear infection. He had a fever most of yesterday & woke up with one again this morning. Also, he's in the process of getting 3 more teeth up top.

We made it to Atlanta. We left at 7:30 am and arrived at 11 pm. Never driving to Atlanta for thanksgiving again. It was BAD!

@BandDmommy: That's a really long day, I'm sorry. How did the kiddos tolerate the car ride?

@snowjewelz: Yay for haircut!

@FaithFertility: All that baby hair I have is finally growing enough to go back down lol. My hair is still so sad though. Something just changed about it pp.. I can't quite put my finger on it. Hoping next pregnancy will give me back some better hair haha!

@FaithFertility: yah i have really bad cowlicks...unattractive.

@faithfertility: mine are about 2 inches long now, but right at my part along my hairline and stick up straight. all day long. even hairspray doesn't tame them, although not showering for 2-3 days seems to
@snowjewelz: mine has definitely been darker, thicker, and coarser since having LO1. it never went back to what it used to be!

@FaithFertility: The new growth is part of why I did a chop almost 5 months ago. I just couldn't take it anymore. What I've noticed recently is I'm losing hair all over again. I'm not really sure why but I haven't had hair in my brush for so long and now I seem to have a handful every morning.

@KayKay: sounds like my hair. Straight up all the time. I don't even bother most of the time.

@AngelicOne: Ugh - sounds miserable! I hope he's feeling better soon.
@BandDmommy: That's a nightmare. So glad you're there!
@FaithFertility: Yeah - I have tons of little baby growth in the front. It looks ridiculous.

So Jack managed to stay healthy through his party on Sunday but came down with a horrible cold on his birthday yesterday and hasn't really been sleeping Then this morning M work up with a goopy eye and telling me her eyes were itching. Dragged them both into the pedi this morning. She has a double ear infection in addition to the conjunctivitis so at least hers should clear up with the oral meds and not need more drops. We've only been off of them for a week! Jack's ears and eyes were clear, so that's a relief.
I'm heading in to work for my two overnight shifts and DH and the two (sick) kids are getting on the road for Thanksgiving. I'm so bummed and a little stressed that I'm not going to be there!

@mrsf: oh no! at least it was in time for you to get them to the doc before they left?

@MrsF: I hope it's a thankful few days of work for you. As I age I become more appreciative of all the people that have to work on the holidays to keep our society going. So thank you for all of your patients that don't think to say it.
Sorry for the sick kids, good that you got them in before they head on the road.

My kids have been sick with colds this week too. Ryan hasn't been healthy in a month, but is happy enough. Last night up at 330 and 545 and the other kid up at 615. I am so beyond tired and drained from everything that has happened this week. Can't wait to host thanksgiving tomorrow though. (Seriously!)

@KayKay: definitely! I'm glad that i could get them both checked out in time!
@MamaG: thank you It helps that I work in the ICU. I can look in any room and see how much I am needed and how much I have to be greatful for.
@winniebee: another long night! I hope you have a great thanksgiving.

@MrsF: Hope work is going ok....it must be so hard to be away from family over holidays. I'm leaving my husband for a few days to visit my family, since he is on call. I feel bad but duty calls!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: you're so sweet to check on me while I'm working It sucks that I'm not with family, but we're making the best of it. Everyone working tonight brought in food and we ended up with an unbelievable spread of every thanksgiving staple you can imagine. One of the (male!) nurses even cooked a huge turkey and brought the entire thing in to carve here. It sounds silly, but it's nice to celebrate together and not feel like we're skipping the holiday entirely.
I'm sorry that your DH has to work. It's not easy being the spouse either! Glad that you're getting away and I hope those kids are kind to you. You've been through a lot recently

Ordered G some carters 12 month jammies they are so skinny, she is long and on the leaner side ,but these things were beyond tight!
Huh? Old Navy has great footed jammies but only go up to 18 months and that is getting snug!
What jammies do you have?!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Hmm... we've always used Carters (cotton in the summer and fleece in the winter - but I know your winter is not like ours!). J is on the shorter size though and M is probably about average. Maybe just size up? I think Carters is having major black friday sale too.

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Just found out that DH and the kids are coming home a few hours earlier than expected, so I'm excited to get to put my babies to bed tonight
persimmon / 1050 posts
@FaithFertility: We usually put M is the fleece Carter's footed jammies or a onesie & his sleep sack, just depends on the temps & time of the year.
@MrsF: Glad they are coming home early!
M is on Amoxil for his ear infection/cold that he has. Now he's getting a rash all over his body. Going to check it out tomorrow. Dr appt #2 while on vacation....so much fun!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: Yeah no fleece for us
Yeah I was hoping to order more, but these cotton ones are perfect in length but so tight
