Hi ladies, I'm nervous to join because I've never really actively TTC'd before! My daughter was conceived relatively quickly. I'm not planning on tracking too closely unless things get tough but here goes...

@oliviaoblivia: @marley: Thanks ladies! I'm a little shocked (but stoked) over here but now looking at my period tracker am wondering if I actually o'ed later than expected and that's why I didn't miss the fertile window like I thought! Sheesh. Not what I was expecting to wake up to today!

@coopsmama: omg CONGRATS!!

@OldpuebloJenn: do you know what your FSH and AMH numbers were? We had our first apt with our RE as well and had our initial tests done too!! We haven't had our f/up apt yet to go over everything so I am just curious

It looks like I might O today or tomorrow. My OPK this morning was almost positive, maybe even could be positive. That's 5 days earlier then expected, which is good, because it makes it more of a normal cycle for me. My 3 cycles I've had post partum have had a really late O date, so I'm excited that maybe this month might be more normal. I also insisted we start BD'ing every day a few days ago, so if I do O, we've had great timing. Butttt, my husband and I are going to this super nice spa for a night on the 13th for his birthday. If I O today/tomorrow, I would be about 11DPO when we go.. which is early enough for me to test ( I got my last 2 BFP's at 9 DPO) ... so do I test and then not drink if this month is lucky... or play naive and drink lightly and test when we're home hahah. I guess I'll see when I actually O before I think about that

@MRSB2012: I was very surprised too when the doctor said "we'll see you in December if you're not pregnant." I was like, do you mean September?! lol. She said something to the extent of, there's no real need to wait, especially if you want more than one.

And re: Spa night...that sounds super fun but if it were me I'd test first and save myself all the anxiety of wondering if it was hurting the wee babe. Tho I do love me some wine

So my first ever OPKs should get here tomorrow! I just took my last Clomid pill (took it days 3-7) and I swear I've felt pinching in my left ovary for the past two days. I'm probably crazy, but I read ovulation a pains can occur up to a week ahead of time, so maybe something is going on down there

@OldpuebloJenn: fingers crossed that neither one of has to follow through with more RE appts!! to you!!!

@mrsjd: I use Clearblue too. Last cycle I got the solid smiley and thought I would ovulate the next day, but I temp and keep track of CM and FF told me that I ovulated on the same day I got my solid smiley. Also, without a temp rise to confirm ovulation, a positive OPK just means you had an LH surge, which happens before ovulation, but not necessarily means that you will definitely ovulate. But it's definitely a good sign!

@coopsmama: just lurking and wanted to say congrats! I didn't know I was pregnant and I got SUPER drunk at my husbands bday party (like tequilla shots), and everything is fine. I wouldn't worry!

Your plan this month: my husband just moved back from working out-of-state for four months and I failed to ever start a BC method after our 8mo was born. Now that he's back (and I'm ovulating), I think it's time to try for our next... specifically this week! Our first took 3 cycles, which wasn't bad and I'll probably be less disappointed by negative tests this pregnancy because I have a quick crawler keeping me busy.
For Fun: My favorite holiday tradition is going on holiday/wintery hikes with my son. We are avid hikers and the cold weather can't keep us inside with all the awesome light displays in the neighborhoods and local parks.

This is my first time contributing to one of these threads so I'm excited!

Ovulation & POAS date: ??? Haven't detected ovulation yet because the kids are waking me up at random hours and I'm still breastfeeding a bit, so my temps are all over the place. I think I'm going to be ovulating this weekend, but I really can't tell. I'm not getting positive OPKs, but I don't trust them because I never got a positive OPK during the cycle when I conceived my son. So this cycle is really just going to be a shot in the dark.

Your plan this month: See above re: shot in the dark. Going to try to figure out when I ovulated! Hopefully that will give me more info to go on in subsequent cycles.
For Fun: What is your favorite winter/holiday tradition? holiday christmas specials! I limit screen time most of the year, but during the holidays, I let the kids watch as many holiday specials as they want because I love them so much.
