@pwnstar: I went over my ob and referred myself to an RE. Is that an option? And both DH and I started vit D a few months ago, I wasn't low, but borderline, not sure if it contributed or not, but it can't hurt!

@JoJoGirl: @pwnstar: My DD is 3 (born in 8/2012), while she is the best little girl ever, it's still super tough to be a working mom. Parenting is definitely not the best thing for a marriage - who has time to be a good wife/husband? I'm stretched so thin between everything and that's why I thought I was one-and-done too. But we don't want her to grow up lonely with no family. Anyway, I really don't know how I will handle a new baby, but the scales are tipping towards yes, because really, it's never going to be a right time, and it is hard for everyone else too. Hope you will be able to work through your problems too. I agree communication is key (I'm not the best at it).

Thank you for the encouraging words ladies. I got AF the next day, and got sick too... it's been a super last few days lol.
DH has been amazing!
The fertility doctor called today, and I have an appointment Dec. 23, super happy it's happening quickly.
DH suggested we name our 'baby' Eve because 'the appointment that gets us a baby is on the eve of the holidays'. I thought it was sweet.

I'm going to throw my hat in the ring here.... I'm not taking my birth control pills anymore. We're not trying to get pregnant but if it happens, I wouldn't complain. Only a little over a week without the pills and I already feel a difference.
Congrats to the ladies who got their so far and good luck to those still waiting
Cycle Day:9
TTC Cycle #: 1, I guess, even though we're not really trying
Ovulation & POAS date: O - 12/12, POAS 12/27
Baby #: 2 - LO #1 is a little over 2
Your plan this month: Temping to avoid O time, Trying to lose some of the weight BCP helped me put on, Vitamins, Ovia or Fertility Friend to Chart.
For Fun: What is your favorite winter/holiday tradition? Trimming the Tree, The Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve

@stratosphere: It took some scrolling up and down and tilting my screen, but I can see it! Once I could see it, I could spot it without trouble. Get an FRER for tomorrow!

@JoJoGirl: @marley: I agree, being a working mom is soo hard. Im so lucky that I get a year of mat leave. While on mat leave, my husband and I have a great routine and relationship. When I went back to work after #1, it was so so so difficult trying to balance and coordinate. It was extremely tough on our marriage and I totally wanted to just divorce him at points. ( Most of that was pregnancy hormones, but it was still extremely hard. ) I go back to work next month and I'm dreading the finding a routine again.

@JoJoGirl: hugs to you. I agree with you on it being shitty on the marriage at times, our LO is a saint and hasn't reached true tantrums yet and I SAH, but we still have stressful marriage moments where I'm like how did we get here!!! it takes a lot of talking and give/take on stupid little things around household balance, plus I'm forcing the issue of date nights sans baby...I don't care if he's OK to come along, things aren't the same on a date when there's a little person demanding things next to you!! hope you get back in your groove soon - meanwhile we are all here to help with the venting

@marley: @OldpuebloJenn: @MrsB2012: thanks for taking a look! I stopped and got two FRERs and meant to wait until tomorrow but caved and tested this evening on a 4-hour hold. I def see a line IRL on this one (appeared within the 3 min testing window). I'm just hoping this is a sticky baby!!! Nausea continues. But so does spotting.

congrats to oldpueblojen & stratosphere! wahooo!
AF was supposed to show today but didn't, but my test was a BFN. I have a short luteal phase so I'm only 11dpo but I'm getting the feeling I'm out. This has been the first cycle that I've gotten pretty emotional. Most of my good friends are pregnant with their second, third, etc and I'm just starting to think like, is it even possible for us? It's our first kid, and I've been looking forward to my own baby since I was like...four maybe. Hubby has been super supportive and kind, thank goodness. It's our 6th cycle trying, and the only highlight is that my OBGYN will now see us. I don't even know what they she will look for....BAAAARF

@flowergarden: I'm in the same boat! Waiting for AF either today or tomorrow, not going to test until late because I want to spare myself some heartache this month! Good luck to you!

@Nutella: @MrsB2012: Thanks to you both!! Aaand BFN. You'd think i'd be relieved, ha ha. What the hell
pomegranate / 3355 posts
@OldpuebloJenn: Yes. I stopped in this morning to see if you had updated and YESS you got a BFP!! I am hoping this carries over to me too since I have our RE apt set for Dec 15, I'd LOVE to call and cancel it!
@WinterBee: hang in there! I understand the roller coaster of emotions you are having as we have just recently started working with an RE as well. I was shocked when my OB immediately referred me and I was scared but now I am happy to be moving in the right direction and to get some answers. I am soo soo worried our answers won't be good though! However, I am trying to remain positive. We have had all of our initial testing done. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.. although I only know about this initial part so far

@stratosphere: Congratulations!!! I totally see your squinter, fwiw! H&H 9 months!
@JoJoGirl: I completely understand your feelings. And honestly, as tough as your little is now, she will be a completely different kiddo in 9 months. It gets better. It really, really does. And the good moments--even in the middle of a storm--they make you happier than you could ever have imagined. So I understand where the sadness and disappointment comes from.
@Chillybear: welcome!

I'm adding myself again . . .
Cycle Day: 2
TTC Cycle #: 4
Ovulation & POAS date: Dec. 18-19; Dec. 31
Baby #: 2
Just started taking Vitamin D (50,000 IU . . . !), will use my CBEFM, and make sure we have better timing this month.
I will admit my AMH results were pretty tough to swallow yesterday. It's still sort of sinking in. But I have read good things about Vitamin D (I googled my butt off yesterday!) and fertility . . . I am hoping this is the little boost needed without additional intervention.

@pwnstar: I think I'll add that to my regimen. I already take like 50 pills in the morning. this month!!

Hi ladies, I am adding myself in.
Cycle Day: 15
TTC Cycle #: 1ish (first cycle post-mc, but it's month 5)
Ovulation & POAS date: Best guess - O Dec 12, POAS Dec 22...but that may be totally wrong
Baby #: 2 (DD is 26 months)
Your plan this month: Actively trying. Using opks but no charts.
For Fun: What is your favorite winter/holiday tradition? I used to love making and decorating cookies with my mom. I hope to start that with my DD this year.
I'm a bit confused this month about my dates because I am feeling O signs right now but the opk I took this morning was negative (yesterday's was actually darker), and I also usually have much longer cycles than this. Guess we will see what happens...

Okay, so I'm not sure what to think. I'm somewhere between 8-10 DPO, I think. Also, DS woke me up at 3:30am, so of course I had to use the bathroom. So when I took this test it was only about 3 hours later. I thought I saw something, and with much tweaking, it comes out on the pic. Not very visible in real life though. But it is inside the time window.

@pwnstar: It's WAY more visible in the photo though. I'm hesitant to call yet. I've got another pic of it and it didn't pick up the line. So IDK .

@ShootingStar: I'll hold off for now then (I'm just excited for more babies!). Hopefully you'll get a clearer result soon!

I guess I'm afraid I somehow managed to capture the indent line and manipulated the photo into looking positive. Although the rational part of me says that it would be pretty impossible to do and to make it have color, since all I did was add a filter to it.

@pwnstar: that's a really really high dose of vitamin D, holy cow! I wasn't sure on the link between vitamin D and TTC so I just read a few articles, interesting!
@catlady: good luck this month

Today's tests show lines you can actually see--hooray! I'm still spotting, though, and my temp dipped a bit this morning, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this little one sticks!!!
Here is a pic of this morning's tests (estimated 11 DPO)
