Did you "party" in your younger days?

I was dealing with some pretty crippling anxiety and depression when I was in high school and college, so I didn't hang out with other people or party at all - just focused on school work. By the time I started grad school I was able to come out of my shell a bit, and I definitely made up for lost time during my early/mid twenties! I did a LOT of partying when I lived in New York - binge drinking, drugs, cigarettes, etc. Then I met my husband, got married, bought a house in the suburbs, and now I feel super square (especially now that I'm pregnant)!

    @2PeasinaPod: Same here.

And when I say I drank in college, it was actually pretty rare for me to get drunk.

Yes, starting at a very young age I was a partier. I lived in a small farm town, the only thing to do was drink beer (or so we thought.) I continued well into my 20s, DH and I used to go out pretty much every weekend until we decided it was time to settle down and have kids! I did a lot of stupid stuff but luckily never got into major trouble. Sometimes I wonder how ha! I will say I was the "norm" in my town though, almost everyone I graduated with was doing the same thing. (Seriously 34 of the 51 in my class had drinking tickets by the time we graduated.) By some miracle I wasn't one of them!

I partied quite a bit during high school and college. I got in with a not-so-great crowd in high school, and we drank and smoked (yuck). In college, I was in a sorority, so I did the frat party thing and usually went clubbing Thurs-Sat. It was a big party school. Luckily, we never got into trouble or in any bad situations, and I'll admit that it was a fun time. My girlfriends and I still like to go out drinking occasionally, but we've definitely toned it down over the years, especially since most of us are TTC.

DH used to drink quite a bit with his buddies in college, but stopped partying hard when he decided to become a police officer. He still likes to have a few beers, but he'd much rather stay home. Usually I don't mind, but it's still fun sometimes to go out to the bar with friends!

Nope. I was never a partier. I enjoy wine during social gatherings (never before I was legally allowed to), but never get drunk. I've only ever been drunk a handful of times before (less than 5 for sure).
The first and last time I ever went to a club was my bachlorette.

It's funny though because my parents are partiers - not anything crazy, but they enjoy their beer and I think they were much bigger partiers than I am at my age.

It was just never my thing. I would LOVE it if my kids took after me with that...

Erm, yes. No regrets though, there's plenty of things Id be a little embarrassed to tell DS - but at the same time I'm glad I'll be able to relate to him if he goes through a wild period, and give him advice based on experience.

I did once when I was 25. The whole get super smashed at a house party thing. That was my first and last hangover. I'm not cut out for it.

I did enjoy dancing at the clubs and drinking with friends as an undergrad, but I didn't do it often.

Yes, in college and in my early to mid 20’s. Most of it was fine, but I do cringe at the thought of a few things. I love to dance, so it’s hard to totally get that out of me. Now I just dance in my living room.

Not that frequently. I got falling down drunk once and that was enough for me!

Rarely in high school or college but I had some phases of going out a lot in my 20s. We usually just have a couple drinks at home now. I haven't been out for a girls night in years and I haven't really been drunk since before I was pregnant, so over 2 years. It doesn't appeal to me anymore!

    Sort of.

Didn't drink in HS. Joined a sorority in college but was definitely focused on my classes. DH was in a fraternity and I certainly drank over there many a weekend. But I was never a bar-goer or clubber (even post-college).

Nope. My parents pushed me really hard academically and I had beyond a full load of school work. Never was social and didn't participate in social events. During my summer internship, my now hubby had a goal to corrupt me so he took me clubbing and drinking all the time. I never had a drink till I met him. lol

DH is a huge social butterfly and partied like crazy!!

We're nervous how to navigate those waters when DS gets a bit older.

Loved partying/clubbing from ages 19 - 25. Ahh, those were fun times! We still have a few friends who still party pretty regularly, but we personally haven't been partiers in 10 years now, haha. I feel old.

Yes x10. I started much earlier than most do and partied much harder than was appropriate. I've never been a bar/club/dancing type person, I was more of a houseparty type of gal. My sister was a few years older, so when she started getting into trouble she was kind enough to take me with her. We were both too young to be doing what we were doing but I don't regret a second of it! Post kids the wildest I get is drinking wine on a weeknight. #yolo

Yes! Only a little experimentation in high school, but had tons of fun in college! I went to a huge party school, and have some crazy memories. My long term BF and I broke up when I was just about to turn 21, so that probably contributed also! DH and I met post college and partied together our fair share before having LO. Definitely had some great times, but glad to be in this calmer stage of life now.
