I just found out yesterday that my mom cloth diapered myself and my two sisters. I had no idea!! For myself and my middle sister she cleaned them herself and for my baby sister she used a service.

Disposables. My mom thought cloth diapers were NASTY and that I was a crazy crazy lady for using them. Now she's on board, lol.

My mom was a SAHM and used cloth!
I'm a WOHM and use disposables.

Cloth. And I remember cleaning my littlest sister's. Which is why I'm not touching cloth diapering with a 10 foot poll.

Disposables for us both. She still thinks I'm weird for using cloth.

I can't vote, it was both. I was mainly cloth diapered but then disposables became more available and my younger siblings were diapered in disposables.

MIL used cloth (prefolds and flats) for 3 kids. She is amazed with our modern cloth diapers!
My parents used disposables.

I had sensitive skin and the old disposables broke me out so she used cloth (did have a diaper service though), I use disposables for sensitive skinned DS so maybe they're made better now.

My mom used cloth for my older brother and disposable for me (disposables were "the thing" when I was little). Now I feel old....

Disposables for all four of us. My in-laws used disposables, too.

Cloth for the first 5 kids, disposables for my little sister. My mom was very against me trying cloth--she said I would regret all the time I would have to put into scraping and washing and in the end, I use disposables and am happy with it.

Definitely disposables. I think my parents were shocked we chose cloth.

My parents used disposables. My MIL used cloth diapers with a diapering service and couldn't understand why I wouldn't do the same!

She used cloth and had a service clean them but then switched to disposable by baby #3.

Disposables. My mom might have thought about using cloth for like half a second. She thought we were crazy when we decided to use cloth for our daughter.

They did cloth and used a laundry service until Dad started being able to trade for diapers at his trade shows and then they switched to disposable.

This will depend a lot on age! My parents used cloth because "way back then" they had no choice

@JoJoGirl: I was surprised my mom used cloth because I'm only 27 years old... it wasn't that long ago and disposables were definitely available to her! My youngest sister is just 20!

I was 3.5 pounds when born and I didn't fit into even the smallest disposables, so my mom used a cloth diaper service until I was old enough to fit into the disposables.

Cloth for me and disposables for my little brother. They were poor grad students when I was born, and cloth was cheaper.
They still have my diapers and use them as rags!

My mom cloth diapered all 3 of her kids. When I mentioned to her I wanted to try cloth diapers, she was all for it and said it was so easy. My husband however, was adamantly against it

Cloth for both kids, they couldn't afford disposables. They were surprised that I chose disposables.

I believe I was disposable all the time. My brother was cloth at home but disposable outside because my parents were broke and they used flat in bleached cotton rags my dad got for free at work.

cloth for the older 3, and disposable for the younger 2. But, I am the oldest and am 12 years older than one and 19 years older than the other so disposables had come a long way since then.

Well when I was born in the Soviet Union there were no disposable diapers. It was all cloth and I remember when my little brother was born and all that poop and cloth diapering. Makes me shudder just thinking about it.
