Oh yeah! DH was 110% involved in the whole process down there. He was right next to the head nurse both times. I'm surprised he's still attracted to me after all that!

Oh yes! He isn't grossed out by things like that.

Yep. The first time he was holding a leg and the second time I was using him as a headboard, but he's really tall so he could see everything anyway.

Yes. He thought he wouldn't want to, but it the moment decided he did. I asked him what it was like and he said it was amazing.

Yes, he caught our daughter and was the one to hand her to me! He was the only family member there, though, I would not want anyone else in the room!

Yep both times! He didn't plan on it, but he said he was so happy he did and that it was amazing both times!

*I* didn't want to look in the moment, but he saw everything and still talks about it! The idea makes me slightly uncomfortable, but in the moment I couldn't focus on that and I guess as long as it doesn't bother him...

He didn't plan to look but he ended up watching. I think he said it was the most amazing and horrifying thing he had ever seen.

I delivered LO2 on my knees and I think there was a lot less to watch.

He did (hadn't planned to) with number 1 and it scarred him a bit. He said it was unbelievable. With number 2 he stayed by my head but did see the episiotomy and said he almost puked.

DH was holding one of my legs and I told him before we were admitted that I didn't want him looking down there. He did. He said he was glad he did because he got to see DS come into this world; and it was amazing. I'm just glad he still finds me attractive because I was scared for him to look down there. lol

Only DH and my newborn photographer was in the room. I didn't want anyone else in there, and was glad no one else was!

Of course he watched what was happening! He was fascinated, doesn't mind medical things.

Yes, we had both decided that he would remain by my head when I was pushing, but he just happened to be down there at the time and afterwards said he just couldn't move.

He saw everything both times and took photos of my kids crowning and making their way out into the world.
I'm so glad I have those pictures!

Mine almost passed out during my first ultrasound so...not that certain he will remain upright during labor. Probably would be best if he stays by my head!

Multiple other men had told him not to look, so, he didn't. I didn't want him looking either. He stayed up by my head the whole time and did most of the directed pushing (the timing and the breathing and the sets of 3). His encouraging voice was what got me through that last hour. He said I was almost passing out between pushing contractions, so even if he wanted to look, he couldn't.
There were 4 nurses and 1 OB, so they had things covered down there.

Not until the end. I had a c-section. I'm not really sure why he didn't watch...I was kind of loopy from the meds. The anesthesiologist was giving him a play by play though. I remember him telling DH to look once they pulled T out.

Yup! He saw everything and even touched our sons's head when you could first see it. And my doula was all over everywhere taking pictures. Honestly, I wouldn't have wanted anyone in the room who wasn't comfortable seeing everything. There was a giant mirror so that I could see, so I don't know how you would have avoided seeing everything. I guess I could have asked them to put the mirror away, but I liked being able to see the progress.

First time, yes! And he loved it. I delivered my second on my hands and knees and he stayed up to coach and hold my hands between pushes! He loved the first time so I feel bad about him missing seeing baby being born the second time (but I was so grateful to have his help!).

Yes...both times! The first was a little traumatizing. He watched as I pushed, but I needed an emergency C-section, and LO1 didn't do all that well coming out. He was blue, and DH said he didn't look anything like a baby as they pulled him out, so I think that just freaked him out a bit.

The second time around was a RCS, and it was far calmer. LO2 cried right away, and it was a lot better for him to watch!

Yes! He's usually squeamish so I'm glad he did. Neither of us planned anything specifically, but it's hard not to see, I guess!
