It's no secret that baby sleep is a huge mystery, what works for some won't work for others. My baby requires me to bounce her on the exercise ball for sleep. Yes, it sucks, but what else can I do. She won't just fall asleep if I lay her in her crib or put her in the swing. She is 12 weeks old, by the way. My friend's baby is now 7 weeks old. I was complaining to her about how I was getting tired of the bouncing to get her to sleep. She says she just lays her baby in the crib and lets her cry until she eventually passes out. I asked her how long did it take? And she said sometimes 25 minutes. She said she "had to break her," because she couldn't rock/bounce/do whatever it took to get her to sleep. Now, I am not judging her, whatever works! But, I don't know if I feel comfortable yet doing that for sleep. I would like to do it sometimes though because this is getting quite exhausting.
