...and did that change once you had a baby?

I am not a napper. I haven't taken a nap since I was 18 months (much to my mom's horror, hah). Even if I stay up all night, I can't nap during the day. I generally sleep 5-7 hours a night, wake up early (~5-6:30) and stay awake until I go to bed again. Lying down and sleeping just isn't an idea I ever have, even if I'm tired or sick. On the rare occasion that I fall asleep during a movie or something, I am messed up for the rest of the night--can't go to sleep at night or can't stay asleep....

However, many moms stress how important it is to nap when your baby naps, etc. I guess I am wondering, were you used to napping, or getting a ton of sleep pre-baby? Or were you just so tired that you were able to nap, though you never used to? (I hear it's tiring?!!?!)
