Curious! During pregnancy, does your fetus sleep when you sleep? For those who are feeling kicks, do you feel kicks during the night? Does it nap during the day? When we went for our NT scan it struck me how active the little bugger was and this made me wonder when the fetus sleeps.

Newborns sleep a lot so I'm guessing fetuses sleep even more. I would feel her a lot when I laid down at night and when I woke up in the morning but still in bed. I ran throughout pregnancy and the drs all said the jostling probably rocked her to sleep, so probably when walking around that might rock them to sleep a bit too.

Mine had dance parties at 2am everyday.

I remember when I was pregnant with Mavrick he would go nuts at 3pm and 8pm. then the rest of the day he was pretty quiet.

I think they sleep most of the time, except when you eat. Thats why they always advise that you eat something before your anatomy ultrasounds to get them to be more lively

I feel him when I eat and late at night. He usually keeps me up at night. I feel him at other times of the day too, but he seems to be more active in the evening and night.

All babies are different, but my LO slept when I slept and was active throughout the day

It's a huge party right after I eat breakfast and in the evening when I wind down for bed (8pm-11ish). He kicks through the day too but definitely not as much. I think that's when he sleeps =)

I can remember rolling over a few times in the night and feeling her respond with a kick. Mostly when I forget and lay on my belly. I usually feel her every night when I get settled in bed, and off and on in the afternoon. I think she's most active in the evening though.

Liv had definite sleep and wake patterns in the womb that she kept after she was born. She slept when I slept, had a party at 8am, noon, and 7pm, and slept after that. Toward the end I could tell the difference between her awake movements and her sleep stretches. I miss being pregnant

I think they sleep when you're moving since you rock them to sleep. I definitely felt Charlie and Olive more when I was laying down in bed at night.

While I feel baby more at night since I'm still, there are definitely quite a few times throughout the day that baby's pretty active...
Pretty much every few hours. On nights where I can't sleep I notice that it moves periodically through the night as well, but I'd never known if I wasn't already awake =_ -
She's particularly busy ay night when I roll over to sleep every night, but she doesn't keep me up.

She is definitely a night owl. As soon as I lay down in bed, she starts her gymnastics. I think she naps in the morning and early afternoon because I rarely feel her during those times.

I have yet to be woken up by his movements (@32 weeks) but I also have an anterior placenta, so I'm not sure how much that helps. I definitely don't notice him moving as much on my busy days, but during the day it is sporadic movements, and he is especially busy from 9-10pm. Mornings he is quiet, some days so quiet that I lay down after having juice just to check on him. I almost always notice him when in the car, he goes wild! And we've been to a few baseball games over the past few months, when the crowd cheers, it feels like he is running bases.
In contrast, a good friend who had her baby on Monday would tell me about how hers kept her awake often at night.
