Our daughter's teacher suggested that we start sending pull ups to daycare because she is starting to show interest in using the potty multiple times a day. Naturally, we just bought a giant box of diapers.
Does your daycare /preschool suggest pull ups or do they go cold turkey to underwear?

Pull ups and when they feel she's ready, underwear.
They're actually putting her diaper free for nap before we do!

Our 2s program didn't suggest anything, but was willing to change diapers and take kids to the potty. By the end of the year Chloe was in pull-ups.
Now she's potty trained so we send her in undies.

Underwear, but we also provided pull-ups for outside and nap time per their request.

Pull ups until they can poop in the potty. Then training pants (padded underwear) for 2 weeks. Underwear afterwards.

We didn't ask. We just went straight to undies. Luckily daycare seemed pretty willing to deal with the many potty accidents that have happened on the way to being fully potty trained. Our daughter is almost 3 months into the process and has finally stopped having almost any accidents at school. It's been a long process, so I'm happy daycare has been mostly ok with playing along.
