Nope. Neither of us get summer hours like we have some friends that do. My company offers it but my department said no to it.

Yup - being a FT student, I'm off most of the summer. I had recently switched positions at work to something with less hours to accommodate my intensive school schedule. They don't really have extra work for me so I only work 32 hours a month. I'm doing one online summer class, but I'm basically a SAHM for the summer. I haven't been a SAHM since J was 1 - so I'm readjusting - but it's good to have a break!
This will be my last summer with a break though, once I graduate in Dec. I'll be working FT.

Yes - my husband's a teacher and I SAH so we're really looking forward to a fun summer!

Yes, DH & I both work in the schools so today was our last day! We report back Aug 17!

DH does but I don't. It's kind of rough, honestly, because he always wants to go and have "real vacation time" but I can't take that much time off so we both end up feeling a little resentful of each other's jobs. Prior to DD he would usually go visit his family for a good chunk of time and I'd either come back early or join him toward the end, but that isn't really an option now.

I'm freelance, so I can do as I wish. My husband has summer Friday's and has a generous vacation policy. This summer we are going away for at least 3 weeks.

I kinda feel bad that my kids don't have "off" either. They will be in all day summer camp everyday - sure it will be fun but I loved being HOME all summer and just hanging out with my friends!
