Speaking of "bad luck," I told my mom that we've been trying for 9 months because I know she would pray for us and be a silent support. As it turns out, it took her a year to get pregnant with me (3rd baby)! My fertility doctor asked if infertility ran in the family and wasn't sure. It never occured to me because I am one of 4 siblings. Then I had the super awkward question: mom, were you like REALLY trying or just "hey if it happens" and she said that she was really really trying and it was heartbreaking. After me, my brother was an "oops" so maybe it really is all just totally random.

@crazydoglady: that’s an interesting story! It does seem so much of fertility is just beyond anyone’s understanding.

I had my annual today and talked to my ob about continuing to try. She’s great to talk to but i think kind of had the same conclusion as me which is, who knows? Given my past my odds of miscarriage are probably higher than normal, who knows How much age is a factor, but it could always happen that things work too. But at least i got the backup plan for if we decide to quit trying and get an iud for closure. I’ve mostly just stopped thinking this baby will happen ... i just felt like ugh when i wrote down a day to start opks in my planner.

I’m trying not to freak out but it is very hard! My last cycle I tested out my trigger shot and it took 12 days to leave my system. Testing it out again this cycle because if we are pregnant, we could possible tell our parents at thanksgiving!

Yesterday morning I felt a tiny bit nauseous when I woke up but just assumed it was some gas. This morning my DH left early for hunting at 4am and I was feeling super nauseous so I decided to get up and test. There is a super faint line on the FRER!! It is very possible that it could still be the trigger lingering but the fact that I threw up after I took the test sort of makes me feel otherwise.

Now, it’s 5am - I can’t sleep, am still feeling very nauseous (along with sort breasts/nipples) and trying not to get my hopes too high. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what the test looks like and pray that the line is still there and hopefully darker!

After 1.5 years of trying for baby #1, this would be an amazing early Christmas present!!! My Dad, who was only 47, passed away on 12/18/15, exactly one week before Christmas, and the holidays are extremely hard for me now. This would really give us a happy moment to look forward to this year for the holidays.

@LabradorLover: I definitely see something! I have to ask, is this the curved handle FRER? I took one a couple cycles ago that showed an AWFUL indent line with color that showed within the time period. I started googling and say that it happens a lot with the curved handle. I really really really hope that's not the case for you and this is the start of something!

@LabradorLover: @crazydoglady: I've had horrible false positives with the new flat FRERs. I was getting faint pink lines within the time frame and then they would disappear after 30ish minutes and I was definitely not pregnant. I really hate the new FRERs more rhan the curved ones.

@mrskansas: This was my false positive on the curved. Can't believe I paid money for that...

@mrskansas: @crazydoglady: I only have the flat frers and I took the test at 4am and still have it in my drawer and the line is still there. Can’t wait to test tomorrow morning!!!

Ps- that’s terrible that that happens!

@LabradorLover: The line was still there hours later but it was definitely on the curved! I used the flat ones later on with no issue (I mean, except that it was a BFN.)

Someone please pray that I get a positive OPK soon... I'm tired
I had a scan last Wednesday that showed a 14mm follicle so I should be ovulating really soon, I hope.

@crazydoglady: No mine never fade in. They're just light and then positive.

@mrskansas: that is annoying! Good thing you got all of that bd in! Haha I’m tired looking at it, too!!

@crazydoglady: I tested last night at 4pm and the line was still there which was 12 hours after my first test so I figured it wasn’t the trigger. This mornings test was pretty disappointing though because I feel like there might be a super super faint line but can’t tell if it’s just my mind playing tricks or not. No nausea this morning either.

@LabradorLover: not to get your hopes up, but there's something there. I've always gotten my darkest positives in the afternoon. I vote cutting all liquids and testing again later today

@Pollywog: in person I feel like I can see it a little better than in the picture but you give me a little hope! I plan on testing tonight around 6 which would be 12 hours from this mornings test.

@crazydoglady: I am 11dpo so it is still early! I certainly have my fingers and toes crossed for myself!

@LabradorLover: I hate to say this but that looks like the weird line I was getting on the FRERs. I really hope it turns into a clear BFP in the morning!

@LabradorLover: how did it look this morning?

  30. LabradorLover

    kiwi / 548 posts

I have tested again this morning and it is still just as faint. Getting worried that it could be a false positive? I figured it would be a great thing that I still have a line but i'm not so sure. I just wish it would either get darker or be a stark white negative! I will say, I have taken about 10 frers so far and they all have lines, faint or very faint, so I can't imagine that they all would malfunction could they???

  31. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@LabradorLover: can you get in for a beta? I think if you're 12 dpo without a clear line it's probably not a good sign

  32. LabradorLover

    kiwi / 548 posts

@mrskansas: My beta is on Friday, I doubt they would take me earlier than that because I did the trigger shot this month. I'm just going to wait it out. AF is due on Wednesday and I have zero pimples on my face which is something I normally get 4-5 days prior to AF.

I just can't imagine that it would be a bad thing, I have peed on many FRER in all of my past 15 or 16 cycles and NEVER had two lines, they have always been stark white. It would be insane to me that all of my tests from this weekend would be false.

In the same respect, I am not saying that you aren't right at all, I just can't imagine that happening. Praying that isn't the case.

@MamaBear87: Thank you, thank you!! I'm trying not to freak out over here and just want the time to speed up a bit so I can hopefully see a darker line tonight. This has been so tough and DH has a hard time seeing the lines and that brings me down a little but I know he doesn't have the eyes like we do!! hahaha
