Did you have a thing your family always did on Friday nights, growing up?
DH said his parents always took them to the same two video stores and they rent a movie and pick up a pizza on the way home. Eat it straight out of the box so there was no dishes!
It would be fun as our girls get older to have a Friday family night ritual!
Both my parents worked crazy long hours so we never had a "ritual".

Growing up, we went to high school football games in the fall or had a movie night and pizza...unless it was lent then we had fish on Fridays and went to church, haha.
Now, we always have pizza and movie nights on Fridays. The kids look forward to it!

My mom always did pizza mid week! My SIL has it on Tuesdays and they eat on a beach towel on the floor in the living room.

We usually ordered pizza and were allowed pop (only on Fridays!). When I was 10 I started horseback riding on Friday nights, so that became the tradition for a few years. Lol.

Watching TGIF! My best friends/neighbors were usually allowed to stay at our house til 9.
