So I thought this was interesting.

Today my husband tried to cash in on our warranty for a baby gate we bought a few months ago.

Here is the process if you were wonder weather to get the warranty or not.

Our baby gate got bent (Long story people fell on it and it's a pressure gate and it bent during the fall, everyone is okay) and can't close anymore.

- So we called babies r us to make sure we are covered for the bent and we were.

- Turns out when you buy a warranty you have to register your item and the warranty through their website. We actually didn't do this when we bought the warranty so DH did that today. It seems our gate has been replaced with another model and they don't make our gate anymore. DH had to call again and they were able to help us with that. He said it was pretty smoothly.

- So what's interesting is that is that through the website they have you print a return label to send the product to them and then they send you a gift card for the amount of the product back. But we need the baby gate now. The customer service guy said oh just buy a new gate and use the gift card you get to get other items at Babies R Us, that's what most people do.

I just thought I would write down the process for people on the fence about Babies R Us warranties.

We were slightly worried we weren't going to be covered because of how it got bent and won't close but the customer rep said yup that's fine. DH just bought a new gate and also bought another warranty with it.
