LO2 had her first physical therapy appointment for plagiocephaly on Friday. For right now, she's just going every four weeks and we can decide thirty minutes or an hour plus we have guidelines to follow at home. The diagonal difference between her right and left sides is 13mm, which I guess is high moderate to severe, depending on the scale, and they want her down to 4-5mm. Most people we've talked to about it are supportive.

My mom, however, seems convinced it's a scam. She said she knows someone who spent a ton of money, stopped going, and their son grew out of it. I'm not sure how she knows the kid grew out of it if she stopped going. I've explained all of it to her, implications if it doesn't get better, what we need to do, and the severity. I've also explained that holding her head up and tummy time help, but she needs stretches and pressure on her right side to kind of shift things. She's still asking if I'm sure it's legit, why we can't just lean her the other way, and why I don't think she'll just grow out of it.

I've told her it's hard that she's not supportive and she said, "I know, she just looks perfect to me." I guess I'm just needing to vent and see if anyone has been in a similar situation? She keeps telling me her head looks fine but if I believe them to take her.
