Hi all,
DH and I have agreed on a third (!!!) and I'm just curious how long it took you to get pregnant after having your IUD removed?
DD is 2y4m and I've never got a postpartum period (!) so I have no idea where I am in my cycle. I haven't had it removed yet but I'm thinking I will in the next few months.
Just curious about others' experiences

I didn’t start TTC as soon as I had my IUD removed; but my period returned like clockwork within about 2 weeks or less after removal and I got pregnant the first month we did have unprotected sex. OB advised I could have started right away and within a month it would have been possible to track/chart/time if I wanted.

My experience was almost identical to @yoursilverlining:.
I had my Mirena out at the end of January and started my cycle almost immediately. We weren't ready to TTC and just wanted some time to track. I had three cycles before we started trying at the beginning of April and I found out that I was pregnant at the end of April, so my LMC was in March.

Got my IUD out end of July 2016. Started trying Jan 1, 2017. Got my BFP Jan 15, 2017.

I got my Mirena out and got my period 2 days later. The first cycle was shorter than expected, so we missed the fertile window. Pregnant second cycle after removal... and it took us 11 months to conceive #1.

I got pregnant about 6 weeks after having mine removed. I had it removed, had a light period, then got pregnant before my cycles really went back to normal.

My experience is similar to pp's. Got mirena out in Jan 2013, light period in Feb and got KU in March 2013

I voted twice because I have had two IUDs. For LO1 got a bfp on 2nd cycle trying, 3rd cycle post-IUD. Currently pregnant with #2. IUD removed Aug 2016 and got BFP July 2017.

Oh wow thank you! Sounds like it was quick for a lot of you. I have no idea what to expect since I don't know where I am in my cycle! I guess we gotta just get in as many days as we can to cover our bases!

My period came back maybe 2 weeks after removal and we waited til after my next cycle (per my dr's request) to start trying. Got pregnant the 2nd month, though I sort of suspect the first that I had a chemical. Crazy how many of us had similar experiences!
