Hi everyone,

I had my Mirena removed nearly a year ago after it was causing a great number of side effects (crippling anxiety being the primary one). Turns out the IUD was slightly embedded in my uterus though the GYN was able to remove it w/o surgery. Since then, my periods have been irregular, closer together (as few as 21 days apart), and longer (up to 7-8 days). I’ve had smears, endometrial biopsies, ultrasounds, and more - all negative. The GYN thinks it’s hormonal and I can either live with it or go on the pill. Has anyone had a similar issue post-Mirena? Did your periods even out eventually? Thanks!!
