DH and I are in the early stages of buying a home, but we still need to get our ducks in a row before it's possible. I am only 23 and he is 27 so we aren't in a huge hurry, but would like to get the process started sooner rather than later.

we're looking to buy our first how soon. we thought we found the one, but the inspection went terribly, so now we're looking again. i'm 28 & turn 29 in april (same with DH), so hopefully we'll find something before i'm 29, but it may be after my birthday. we'll see. def before we're 30 though

I'm 27, hubby is 28... and not yet! We need to figure out where we want to settle first. Plus I just graduated last may. I'm hoping in the next year. We have a down payment ready, just not jobs we love

I'm 31 and we've been house hunting for 1.5 years....so maybe I'll be 40...haha. The market here is crazy, we've been outbid by $400k, it kind of gets you down after a while.

I was 23 and DH was 26. We were pretty young but eager to move out of my in-law's house. We didn't want to move into an apartment so we decided to buy a house instead.

@Rubies: especially crazy because we bid $75k over asking. I would totally move to the burbs but dh is already out of the house for 12 hours a day, any commute at all would make him miserable.

My guess is around 30? I am 28 now, one semester of grad school left, then must find a job, and would like to be settled in job for at least a year before buying anything.

I was 30, DH was 33..
Impressed with the 22 year olds! Good for you, I tried to get my act together (and money) just after college but wanted to live in downtown boston and just couldnt afford to buy!

We bought a condo when I was 22 and DH was 25. We just bought a single family home this year at 27 and 30.
