Alright moms so here it is.....

Our lo for the first few weeks did great.
Slept during the day with no issues. But now in order for him to nap he must be held. If we try to put him down naps last like 15-20 mins which make for a very cranky baby all day becuase he is so overtired. So we have been holding him due to the fact that he needs sleep. For this issue I am simply just curious if anyone has pointers or ideas on how to get him to nap alone? I go back to work in four weeks and he needs to be able to nap with out me.

Night time- so we have a routine. Bath, book, boob 😊. Then he sleeps for about 2 hrs. (So we don't go to bed yet) and then last feeding once he wakes up, sleep sack and bassinet. It was working great but lately instead of going to sleep he feels it's awake time and wants to party! Since I am not at work I can deal but when I go back I will be a zombie! I teach kindergarten and that just won't work. So we apparently are doing something wrong! Any pointers on how to get him to know it's bed time and go to sleep? I read several things but I just don't know. One said put him down when Drowsy we have been trying that and he just fights sleep till he is hysterically crying. I have tried not touching same thing. I used to be able to just rub his head for about 5 mins and he would fall asleep... now that doesn't work. We need some pointers from experienced parents!!!

Also he is almost 4 months and he currently will sleep from 10 or 11 till 5 or 6. So we get some good sleep. This is our longest stretch.

Oh also he is almost too big for the bassinet so I was thinking using the pack and play and then slowly transitioning to the crib. He is basically the length of the bassinet now. So I am curious if this may be part of our struggle.
