I can't do it all either, sweets. People tell me all the time how I'm doing so well and I smile but internally I think, "Oh my god, have you even seen my house??" Yesterday I had to go out for an appointment and had set up to have a dear friend watch the children for me. Would have been great except hubs and DS had decided to get a stomach bug on Sunday and I was a wreck. Hubs was staying home yesterday from work because he was so ill, DS had just thrown up, I called the sitter and asked if she still wanted to chance it since they might be contagious and she thankfully came anyways so I could go to my appointment.
But you have no idea the relief I felt when I came home to a clean kitchen (it had been a wreck before I left), a meal, and a relatively content - if ill - household. The sitter said the most heartwarming thing had been seeing hubs curled up on the couch with DS and when DS had fallen asleep on her chest because he was just so ill. I was beyond grateful that someone had managed what I couldn't. I wouldn't have been able to handle that situation as well as she had. I'm not super woman although some people seem to think that I am and my house is a wreck nearly 24/7/365. I often feel overwhelmed and at a loss at what to do but we soldier on. It's not a comfort but I have and am and will probably always be there. You're not alone hon.

@avivoca: today is going much better! T woke up at 5 like usual to eat and then again at 6:30 and was still asleep when it was time to leave this morning so he was in a great mood and well rested. He was so thrilled to see his regular babysitter and couldn't stop smiling if he tried. Work sucks but work just always sucks. It's a much better day today! Thank you for asking!!
