oh I can't wait for this! I've been thinking about it since before he was born, haha

we were married at a hockey game and it's the farm team of the San Jose Sharks, so I was thinking of going to their Halloween game with DS dressed as a shark.
but I might take him treat-or-treating as something else, I saw a cat costume that was pretty funny.

She will only be a few weeks old, I plan on buying a cute knitted hat (pumpkin, flower, owl) and just dress her in a solid shirt/pant. I dont' want to put her in anything uncomfortable since she will be so little. We are going to go to my sister's house where all my nieces will be for pictures and then we will just pass out candy while the rest trick or treat!

So cute!! LO will be about a month old, so she will be a Dalmatian. We are a Disney family & my mom picked this up with her discount

I don't think it's ever too early to think about Halloween costumes! We're actually waiting to see if McBebe is a boy or girl before I start thinking TOO seriously about it...not sure it'll matter in the end, but this way DH doesn't think I'm TOO crazy

we're going to do a family costume that will only make sense to residents of park slope. but i can't help loving obscure-ish costumes that when people get it, they love it. the downside is... a lot of people don't get it.

@Shimmer: you will have so much fun with twin halloween costumes! cat in the hat's thing 1 & thing 2, twin lobsters, a chicken & an egg, so many fun things!! =)

@regberadaisy: we took my nephew to a pumpkin patch/fall fair when he was about 3 months old. he didn't really know much of what was going on, but we got some really cute pictures, and he enjoyed the hay ride!

For DD's first Halloween (she was almost 7m) I went to the local resale shop and picked up a brand new with tags Carter footed costume of a brown spotted cow for under $5. We didn't trick or treat but she helped hand out candy until bedtime. For her second Halloween, I bought a Stitch costume (from Lilo and Stitch) off of Ebay since DH is a HUGE Stitch fan. DD and I walked up the street two houses to a neighbor as her only trick-or-treating, she really liked handing the candy out to others though.

Not sure what I'll do this year since LO#2 will be less than 2m old, probably go back to the resale store and see what they have for cheap. Also not sure if we'll try trick-or-treating since DD will be 2 1/2 and will be more likely interested in doing it, perhaps we'll go to just a couple of our close neighbors.

My due date is 10/25 so I don't even know if he'll be born before Halloween or not. Could very well come on Halloween! I'll probably just wait until he's born, if it's before Halloween, then I'll get a costume.

@regberadaisy: so cute that you are already thinking of this! We'll probably make him be some sort of animal, since we love babies dressed as animals. Oh, but now that pumpkin is cute too. But we won't trick or treat.

My LO was cookie monster. Still stuck on what to dress him as this year.

Last year DH's co-workers all dressed up their kids as Star Wars characters, so we will have to see what the work kids costumes will be this year ... it is guaranteed to be something nerdy. Maybe super heroes or something!
