I've had pretty regular, painful contractions since the hospital stopped my preterm labor 5 weeks ago. However, a week ago my cervix was still not dilated, just soft and 75% effaced. Because contractions are my norm, my dr said not to go to the hospital until my water breaks or contractions get so bad that I can't walk or talk through them.
I'm just wondering what others experienced when the BH contractions switched over to the real deal? I've been feeling sick/nauseous all day today and the pain I'm feeling now is different than my usual contractions. I don't know how to describe the difference though? My body has sort of been "cleaning itself out" so to speak, so I've been drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated. Also baby A seems to have gotten even lower, which I didn't think was possible. I have to basically grab my crotch when I get up to walk around because she feels like she's going to fall out!
My husband asked if I could be going into real labor, but I have no idea if I could be or not! I don't know if/how real labor will feel different from what I've experienced so far? I have a dr appt in the morning, so I guess we'll find out then if this is doing anything to my cervix. But in the meantime I'm looking for others' experience with this!

Still feel crappy though. The good news is that I am starting to dilate. Only 1.5 today but it's progress! Dr refused to induce me today (hey it was with a shot!) but my induction is scheduled for one week from today (I'll be 38 w 1 d) so I guess there is an end in sight! Thanks for checking in with me!
