My MIL never officially invites anyone over until the last minute....drives me crazy because I have to scramble to get a dish together. I've asked her several times if she wants to do Christmas at her house or at FIL's house (they are divorced but still friendly) but she still hasn't decided!

yeah we dont have anything concrete planned yet. My MIL is also a last minute type of person.

Yes we are figuring things out day by day. My dog just hit out of the hospital and has meds like every hour. Now we are changing all our plans. We were going to pack up and go to my in laws house but now the dog can't travel so we are changing it to up here.

@autumnlove: You must be in my brain! I was just complaining to DH about an hour ago about how it drives me nuts that my inlaws never set anything in stone and it drives me especially nuts after we try to discuss it with them so many times! I'm dreading having to go shopping this weekend becaus they have yet to communicate with me about what I should make. I think it's also so upsetting because they have no regard for the others we need to visit with. Then, when their poor planning results in their time being cut short somehow we always come out like the bad guys.

Our plans are still up in the air too. We may go over to a friend's for dinner. DH really just wants to stay home and pout because we aren't going home for Christmas. We'll see how it goes.

Hmm. I'm Jewish, so it's a free day for me, but I don't have any real plans at the moment. Any great movies playing (low on violence/action/drama) that I should try to see pre-LO?

Yeah, my dad had surgery a few days ago and while the plan is to go to their house, we're just kinda waiting to see when he'll feel better/ up to having company. We'll still go, it's just a matter of when and how long we'll stay.

Our plans are solid. Christmas with the three of us. Nice, quiet day at home.

@mediagirl: She emailed me yesterday morning but she sent it to an email I don't check that much anymore! She texted last night to ask if I received her message! Dessert will be Funfetti cupcakes instead of the cheesecake she requested. I will buy a bagged salad at Trader Joe's...I hope they have ham left.
