@GreenThumb: Yes!!! I'm having an SHG later this month, just to check and make sure my lining is normal after my (2nd) D+C. I'm on BCPs right now...will stop the first full week of November, then start Estrace pills with my period My lining check will be 11/21; then if everything looks good, start PIO...and transfer 11/26! (I don't have my hard-copy schedule in hand yet, but this was what the IVF coordinator discussed with me yesterday.) What do your transfers entail?

@GreenThumb: Unfortunately it's another negative for me this cycle. I'll go in a couple of days early tomorrow for a beta to confirm, so I can stop my meds and get on with the next cycle. If everything goes as usual, I think my retrieval/transfer will be late November, so it sounds like there will be another clump of us with similar timing. Onwards and upwards! Maybe this final cycle will be the one that sticks, but if not, I'll get to learn all about donor egg IVF as we give that a try. We'll get our baby in the end somehow!

@momazon: Argh...I'm sorry to hear that. You/we will have your/our babies...it's just taking a while.

@momazon: i'm so sorry to read this. Sending lots of strength to you. xx

@momazon: I'm sorry that this cycle didn't work out for you. FX that you will get your baby soon one way or another
@jaguar: Sorry lady I don't know much about FET's but I hope you are able to get your body/ovaries to cooperate soon and move forward

@momazon: I'm really so sorry to hear that. But, yes, let's hope for something really special to happen in November!
@FliegepilzHut: I'm following a pretty similar protocol but add in Lupron injections on 10/18 and finish BCPs a week later. My sister and I just discussed the Thanksgiving menu and I realized that I could have a lot to be thankful for by then (6dp5dt).

@momazon: I am SO sorry to heart that! You will get your baby! I am really hoping that you have a wonderful November! *hugs*
@FliegepilzHut: I think November is going to be a good month for a lot of people!!! FX!!!!

@momazon: I'm so sorry about this cycle.
@Sunshine1810: Congrats on a good beta!
Question for you all, did any of your REs put you on CoQ10? It's in my IVF packet and I just placed the order. I, also, just placed the order for my first IVF meds. My injection teaching is this Sunday and I start my injection on the 23rd!

@bluestriped bee: no, but that's interesting! I've heard CoQ10 can help with egg quality, but I've never tried it. It's good to hear that a Dr (and not just Dr Google ) recommends it.
nectarine / 2433 posts
@bluestriped bee: Not the RE but I was on CoQ10 for about 6 months leading up to my IVF cycle which was recommended by my ND to help with egg quality. The RE said it was fine to continue with it. I got 17 eggs at retrieval even with a low AMH and AFC and all but 2 fertilized well although I was told that there were still issues with the shells being tough. I think it helped some for sure!

@bluestriped bee: We used coq10 before our successful IVF cycle with Georgia. I'm on it now, in preparation for having to do another full one in the coming months. What dose did they get you on?
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Shutterbug: Yeah. I heard about it but never looked into til now.
@mrswin: Oh, cool.
@jaguar: I'm suppose to get 400 mg and take two a day. I need to call my RE and ask when I'm suppose to start it. It's not on my IVF calendar but it's in my packet. I ordered it today and it's suppose to come next week.
nectarine / 2433 posts
@bluestriped bee: You can probably start taking it as soon as it comes, just like a prenatal vitamin.
persimmon / 1316 posts
@bluestriped bee: I never took it but have heard a lot of success stories from it. Can't hurt right?!
kiwi / 613 posts
@bluestriped bee: Yes, I take CoQ10. I don't take enough, though- I need to up it as I only take one pill (I think 100). Congrats on ordering your meds!!! One step closer!!!
@mrswin: @jaguar: Can you advise what dose of CoQ10 you were on?
Thanks for the support, everyone, about my recent negative! Looking forward to next cycle! I'm weaning off my steroid now and waiting for CD1.
Question: has anyone had any experience with endometrial scratch biopsy? My nurse mentioned it as a possible thing we could try next cycle, and it sounds really promising, from what I've read. Has anyone heard of this or done this?
apricot / 305 posts
@momazon: My RE does an endometrial scratch routinely for every IVF cycle. He says they don't know why, but there is evidence that it increases the chances for implantation. I'm a firm believer in the idea that every little bit helps! I hope your next IVF cycle is successful!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@bluestriped bee: @momazon: Oh big dose! Mine was only 150, I think, and I took 2 capsules daily. I stopped after we got our BFP with Georgia's cycle. It's not cheap over here!
I had another blood test at the clinic today and they said no more... that I should use OPK's because they're hoping to see a surge this coming weekend. I guess that means they saw something looking up on my bloods from today, god, I hope so. All my OPK's are still negative so far.

No real updates, just checking in. I had my first acupuncture session with my new practitioner last night and it was good. And I get my meds in the mail today and start with Lupron next saturday. Working on keeping as low stress as possible, eating right, exercising, etc.
@jaguar: I really hope that this weekend is it for you!! Sucks to wait for so long.
@momazon: My RE doesn't do edometrial biopsies, but I have read about greater success with implantation, too, so I really hope that this works for you.
@bluestriped bee: Meds order in! So exciting!! Good luck with the class on Sunday.
persimmon / 1316 posts
@momazon: never tried this, but we did do assisted hatching. Have you tried that yet?
persimmon / 1316 posts
@FliegepilzHut: A transfer the day before thanksgiving! So exciting!
@GreenThumb: Lots of people being PUPO at thanksgiving, love it!
@jaguar: hope so too!
kiwi / 613 posts
@thisisme: Cool, thanks! I hope my doc considers it! I'm willing to try anything, and it seems like I'm getting good quality embryos, just having implantation and "sticking" issues.. Maybe it will help!
@jaguar: Fingers crossed for an upcoming surge!!!
@GreenThumb: Keeping low stress and healthy... sounds like you're on track for a great start! How long will you be on the Lupron?
@Mrs.Pinecone316: We have done assisted hatching starting with cycle 2, where we got our first ever positive. I think it helps me! I'll take every bit of help I can get!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@bluestriped bee: So excited for you! You're almost there!
@momazon: I know my center was recently involved in a trial to evaluate the endometrial scratch biopsy...surely it can't hurt! FX that you'll get your soon!
@jaguar: FX your OPKs turn positive soon!
@Mrs.Pinecone316: I'm really excited about being PUPO again!
@GreenThumb: Still on for 11/21, right? I can hardly believe you're getting started already!
12 more days until my HSG...then if everything looks good, I guess I'll be eating pie for 3!!!

Please talk me off the ledge here. So I know it's not positive, but does the bottom (this morning) stick look at least a tiny bit darker than the now-dried (yesterday) pic?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
Thanks @momazon: & @FliegepilzHut: I'm so desperate for this to just happen already. So frustrated.
kiwi / 613 posts
@jaguar: Yay! Saturday morning can't come soon enough! What day was your embryo when frozen? Day 3? Day 5?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@momazon: My last little one is a day 5 emby. No idea of the grading or anything, I just hope and pray it thaws ok before transfer!
