Thank you everyone! @amorini you're right, it's so hard sometimes to find an overwhelmingly exciting moment in this crazy process. If we can get a good report tomorrow, I'll be so so so relieved. Don't want to say this was our last chance, but having something to freeze this round would take quite a bit of stress off.

And graduates, definitely love having you guys pop back in! The wisdom and experience you have to share is invaluable! Any support we can give each other is always appreciated (and probably necessary to keep our sanity!!)

I completely agree! I love to follow the graduates and look into how they are doing! Plus, when all of you are pregnant after your betas in the next week or two, I'll need some insight and support for when I'm going through it in March

@waiting4you: So glad everything went so well today and that you are feeling good! 14 eggs is just wonderful! Can't wait to hear your fertilization report tomorrow!!

I just added estrogen patches to my regimen today and I think they turned me into a raging b*tch! I have been in the worst mood today and EVERYTHING is making me mad! I just want to go to bed! Thanks for letting me vent ! I don't know how I am going to make it until next Friday!

I'm sure it's too early to tell, and I should probably wait till tomorrow's report, but I want to bring it up again in the hopes that it could potentially help someone. This cycle my RE added HGH (human growth hormone) to my protocol. Though it's off label, it is supposed to help with egg quality. As I said, I'll know more tomorrow, but even just at the follicle stage, we (hubby and I) noticed a difference in follicle size and consistency. First cycle the sizes were all over the place from 22 to 10 at time of trigger. This time they were almost all 22-18. I definitely believe that the HGH is what made this cycle as successful as its been to this point. Something to bring up with your dr. If there is any talk of egg quality.

@waiting4you: good to know! How is human growth hormone taken, how often, and how expensive? Though hoping this works and I don't need it!

So I just gotta comment, my coworker just had her first beta today! She transferred 1. She's pregnant!! So happy! I'm jumping for joy! She has her second beta on Saturday and then Monday!

@AmeliaBedilia: I've heard it can be very expensive, but my dr's office told me to go thru south Miami pharmacy and it was $300 for a vial. (Drug name is omnitrope, not a generic though there may be one) I was on 12.5units which is probably about 3 drops - very very low dose. It's a shot that's given with a super small insulin needle. Since it's off label, insurance didn't cover but for $300, I think it was well worth it. The vial lasted 9 1/2 of the 10 days of stims for me. The pharmacy they sent me to was great to work with. Shipped overnight with no hassle at all. They also carry other infertility meds that looked to be cheaper than other places I've seen.

Got the call just a few mins ago from the embryologist. Of the 14 eggs, 9 were mature and fertilized. Also, last cycle we only had 9 eggs going into this so they fertilized all with ICSI. This time because we had more, the let 5 fertilize naturally and of those 5, 3 "took". That's good news for the future that this CAN happen for us without IVF, even though it hasn't in 2 1/2 years. So now we wait till Tuesday morning for our transfer and hear nothing till then. Feeling good. In my head I was hoping for 10, but I'll take 9 for sure! Bring on transfer day!!!

Many prayers and love to all!!!!!!

@NorthStar: Tuesday early morning. Hate that we don't get any status updates along the way, but I get why they don't. Don't want to "disturb" them. They don't take them out till just before the transfer. SOOOOOO hoping we have something make it to freeze!!!
pear / 1881 posts
@waiting4you: oh my gosh - that makes it SO hard, but also, I guess good because then you aren't waiting all day for 'the call', you know what I mean? Just focus on getting to the transfer and yes, hopefully, you have some to freeze. 9 is a great number to start with!
apricot / 344 posts
@NorthStar: yeah, almost better to know that we won't be getting any information. I'm also leaving for the weekend to go to a party (2 1/2 hour drive away so not too bad). Looking forward to the distraction and the fact that I can rest a bit easier knowing there should at least be "something" to transfer. Last time with only 5 at this point we really weren't super confident we'd even make it to transfer day. Luckily we did, and we had 4 at that point.
So have any of the TWW'ers tested at home yet? I'm so excited for you guys and dying to hear some news.

@waiting4you: I completely get how you feel. on my last round we had 6 mature and 5 fertilized. It was nerve wracking and I didn't even understand when the nurses did call if what they told me was good news or not. Unfortuntely, none of ours made it to blasts and none to freeze. Having more in the hopper gives you so many more chances! I would be surprised if you didn't have any to freeze. Enjoy your weekend away!

@waiting4you: What a great report! Fantastic news!! How are you feeling today? Hope this good news lets you rest easy until Tuesday!
No testing for me! I'm only 5dp5dt, so too early still I think!! @Amorini: are you testing yet?
pear / 1881 posts
@GreenThumb: not to push you, but a friend just got a positive on 5dp5dt but, yeah, i would wait, if you can. why stress yourself out overanalyzing the stick!

Would it be redundant if we did a "roll call". I feel like I'm losing track of everyone's status. Maybe where you are in your cycle, how many you transferred, when your beta or transfer date is, etc?
pear / 1881 posts
@GreenThumb: I think that is a good idea! I couldn't believe that she tested so soon!
persimmon / 1132 posts
@GreenThumb: No testing here (yet)! I'm pretty sure I will just wait until the beta since I've made it this far. When it was everyone else, I was excited to see early HPT-ers. More fun as a spectator. Now that it's me, I don't want to get upset or excited too soon!
pear / 1986 posts
@NorthStar: I did actually get a positive at 6dpt in the past, but it was a CP with one of my FETs. Amazing that it can show up that early!! With my DD, my line didn't show up until 8dpt, so I'd like to wait until at least then I think. My beta isn't until 12dpt and I think it would be good to know if for some reason I end up with a chemical again even with this fresh cycle.
@Amorini: You are super close to beta anyhow!! So exciting! How are you feeling?
persimmon / 1132 posts
@GreenThumb: It's so canned to say this, but 'I'm hoping for the best and prepared for the worst.' As far as symptoms go, I have them but nothing that can't be explained away with a bunch of progesterone and estrogen replacement!
Not sure if this is funny to anyone else (it falls within the 'cruel irony' brand of humor), but prior to the MFI diagnosis, I have had 2wws with all the symptoms! I was picking out baby names and strollers, I was so certain! So with our humble 40% chance of IVF success, I'm much more measured in my outlook during this wait.
pear / 1986 posts
@Amorini: I'm glad you are feeling cautiously optimistic during this wait. It always feels better not to get too caught up in what could be when hopes have been dashed in the past. I think we are all there at this point in the IF journey. Keep those positive vibes going!

Another graduate here popping in to give you all my love and support. I completely understand how tough some days can be, but I have so much hope in my heart for all of you. Out of my 13 retrieved eggs, only two made it, BUT one of those is kicking me in the crotch right now at 25 weeks. xoxo.

@YogiRunner: glad you're doing so well! Thanks for dropping in.
I had acupuncture today with the master acupuncturist. He said, " I feel you will be pregnant." I'm trying to stay positive. I can't imagine how devastating it would be if this doesn't work.
For roll call: I think it's a great idea because we have so many soon-to-be On the October due date boards. We transferred 2 embryos on day 3. Beta is Friday, 1/29, 12dp3dt, the anniversary of DH and I meeting. Hope it's a good sign.

@waiting4you: Awesome news! BTW, I have my third (and hopefully last) IVF pre-scan on Monday, due to my stupidly high estrogen I haven't been able to start cycling yet. Hopefully this coming week.
@Amorini: I totally get that! I felt they way most cycles, but lo and behold, my DH doesn't make any sperm. No way in hell we were getting knocked up no matter how hard we tried lol.
Good luck on everyone's betas! I hope it's really lonely here by the time I start cycling

@Aqualov: I'm sending prayers for a low estrogen level. That has to be so frustrating to be ready to go and your body isn't.
pear / 1986 posts
@Aqualov: FX for a great check on Monday. That estrogen is bound to have come down for you by now so that you can start cycling!

Well I caved! 6dp5dt with one little embie! Looks like a much stronger line than either of my CPs, so hoping this one is good and sticky!

@AmeliaBedilia: Thank you!! I can hardly believe it! Can't wait until I hear your news too!!

@GreenThumb: omg!!! That's a great line at 6 days!! Way to get 2016 off with a congrats!!!
