@jaguar: Thank you friend! Those sticks are evil!! How are you feeling? I'm so looking forward to hearing about a great transfer for you on Thursday!!!

We are 2/2 so far this year! Hopefully Mrs. Pinky and I can make it 4/4! Sorry if I missed anyone. My doc had me do an HCG booster 5 days after trigger to improve my progesterone since my estrogen was only 1010, so I don't think I can test early. These last few days are so hard! I'm terrified of bad news and trying to stay positive since my doc was more confident than ever at transfer.
pear / 1986 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Oh wow, I didn't know that about the hcg booster. That's really interesting! Yes, you are very smart not to test! Just a couple days left, right?!

@GreenThumb: my doc seems to be a big fan with anyone with DOR (hate that phrase!)- I did ovidrel boosters for my 3 IUIs.

I had my third IVF pre-scan today. My estrogen is still freaking high! Higher than last week but lower than the week before. Apparently stronger BC pills didn't do a thing since my level is pretty steady in the mid hundreds (instead of below 50 where it should be if suppressed). I've been told to start Ganrilex tonight, continue it the next 2 nights and have a blood draw again on Thursday to see the Ganrilex suppression injection can lower my estrogen enough to begin a cycle. Doc had never seen anyone's estrogen take longer than 2 weeks to lower (except one woman who didn't make the antibody that their estrogen assay tests for- my Thursday blood draw will be sent to the local hospital for testing to make sure this isn't the case for me). Sick of being the freaking outlier in all this. I'm great a being unique I guess. This sucks!

@GreenThumb: I'm so glad those tests are starting to look like they are going in the right direction. I saw on the other board that they moved up your beta! Yay, one day closer! Rest easy and think sticky thoughts.
@Aqualov: Ugh, I really hope your RE gets to the bottom of this E2 thing soon for you. Has it tested normal in the diagnostic phase (like when you first met with your RE and they do all of those initial tests) or did it just start after BCPs? At any rate, I hope that DH is taking good care of you and you are getting what you need to get through this hard spell.

@agold: @Mrs.Pinky: @ms.line: @AmeliaBedilia: @GreenThumb: @momazon: @endymion4: @dookie32: @NorthStar: @jaguar: Thanks, ladies! We'd be happy with twins, if that's what happens. We're just kind of in awe. I can't believe it's ME this time. [shy face]
@agold: @Mrs.Pinky: @AmeliaBedilia: @GreenThumb: Basically I had AF symptoms but at the wrong time, in the wrong sequence!
1. Since transfer, super bloated, like almost OHSS bloated, between my rib cage and uterus so it felt odd to breath deep.
2. Pressure on my pubic bone.
3. The odd twinge or two, like O pain but at the wrong time of the month. A light stitch in the side sometimes, too.
4. Sore boobs but not overly swollen. The puppy ran into me yesterday and I screamed!
5. Sobbed over my croissant yesterday that this didn't work. Everyone's gotta' have one of those moments, right?
6. Woke up in the middle of the night last night, dying to pee but only peed 5 drops. Tooted once (tmi!) and then had killer AF cramps for like 2 minutes. Then felt perfect, like nothing ever happened.
7. Got strangely choked up when Tom reappeared in the final scene of the last episode of Downtown Abbey. Even now, the thought of Tom and Sybie coming back makes me choked up.

@AmeliaBedilia: doing good transfer tomorrow morning at 10:30. Since we had 9 going in to this I'm probably over confident that we should have 2 to transfer tomorrow (though I know you should never be too confident during all this). Hubby is calling in sick to work for the overnight portion of his shift so he'll be with me later in the day/night. My sweet mom is driving pretty far out of her way to come pick me up from the Dr and take me home. Not exactly the smooth transfer day like last cycle, but will be fine I'm sure. Looking forward to 2 days off work and catching up on a lot of sleep and tv
Beta scheduled for February 4th

@waiting4you: Thinking of you. GL today! Hope the embies are doing great and the transfer goes smoothly.
@jaguar: Not too much longer now! Hope the nerves are chilled out and you get that bladder to the perfect amount of fullness.

@jaguar: I have a good feeling that your transfer will go smoothly. Hang in there!
@waiting4you: sending prayers for a smooth transfer today and lots of healthy blasts!
AFM, I'm listening to a book on the law of attraction and trying to think how good it will feel to get good news and meet our babies. I'm having more cervical mucus today, but it's hard to know.

@Amorini: @AmeliaBedilia: thanks! Just got word 3 of the 9 made it to day 5.. 2 look "excellent" and one is just a little behind. The two that we will transfer are hatching, expanded blastocysts. Will find out tomorrow if something to freeze. Embryologist said that embryos that look like this he can usually mark as positive outcomes at this point. seriously hope this is our time!!!!! Also, of the 14 eggs we had, 5 were left to fertilize without ICSI. 3 "took" and one of the 3 today was one of those natural fertilized. Dr said that's very positive for the future and we couldn't rule out getting pregnant on our own. Unfortunately now I have to go thru transfer alone. Hubby off to class.

@waiting4you: great! I was excited to see your post and even more with a good update. Hoping the October did date boards are full of us IVF ladies!

@waiting4you: Such positive news all around! I hope you feel good about it all!!! I'm so glad your mom can taxi you around, even if DH can't be there. Enjoy these next few days, relaxing and cooking those embies! What's your 2ww strategy? Testing early or sticking it out?!
@AmeliaBedilia: Yay for more CM. I'm using Crinone so it is/was hard to really evaluate that one. BTW, my acupuncturist said at 6dpt that she could tell I was "holding" something and my period wasn't coming. Yesterday she said the same thing. She says with IVF it's hard to read typical early preg signs... all the hormones! Getting so close, hope you are breathing deep.
@GreenThumb: @Mrs.Pinky: How are you ladies holding up?
apricot / 344 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: agree!!! This could be a great group to join the October due date boards!! While I'm happy about the 2 to transfer and one to possibly freeze, I was hoping for more. Was looking forward to having something in the freezer just in case. Hopefully this is it and we won't be worried about the freezer
@Amorini: thanks! Not sure what my tww strategy is. Last time I just had a gut feeling the whole tww that it wasn't positive. I tested when I came home from the beta blood draw, before the dr called LATE that night (I was super annoyed since I did the blood work at 7 am). A few weeks ago I bought tests thinking I would test myself to insanity but now I'm rethinking that. A lot more confident this cycle so I may wait to hear from the dr (or test again the day of like last time). Luckily all these positives on here and the great support keeps me very optimistic!!
When's your next beta? Tomorrow? So exciting!!

@jaguar: Only a few more days to go! Will you get any news about the embie they are thawing on Wednesday before you go in on Thursday?
@waiting4you: They look fantastic!!! So happy for you that all went well today! And also great news about having eggs that fertilized on their own. That is such a wonderful thing to know!! We've only done all ICSI with the two fresh cycles, so I have no idea if fertilization is even possible for us. Hopefully I'll never need to know.
@AmeliaBedilia: Hope all is well with you! Great signs and symptoms! I definitely think my CM is increased, too! So excited for you!
@Amorini: I am still over the moon about your beta! I am so happy for you! Did you end up POAS to see those two lines? I hope you and your DH had a great night celebrating last night!
@NorthStar: March will be here before you know it! February is right around the corner!
@Mrs.Pinky: Hope all is well with you!
AFM: I'm doing much better today (I think I just needed one day of crazy to get it out of my system )! Only one POAS and it came back again, so that's all a girl can ask for at this point! ETA: I also wanted to add another symptom to the list - sharp lower backache!

@AmeliaBedilia: I really wish I was part of this exciting January/October group!!
@waiting4you: Oh my gosh! Those embryos look perfect! That is so amazing. I'm so excited for you! Do be sure you get lots of rest. Its great your mom is there with you. Really, you don't need your husband for the transfer so don't worry too much over that. Get your rest and think positively!
@GreenThumb: and @Amorini: I'm still so excited for you two!
cherry / 107 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: thanks
@Amorini: Thanks. I never had my E2 or FSH run during the initial workup because of the severity of my endometriosis and the fact that I take continuous BC to suppress it. The RE thought AMH/AFC gave her enough information to plan my cycle and she didn't want me to be in any unnecessary pain.
@waiting4you: That's fantastic!
@GreenThumb: Wishing all the best and a + Beta soon!
Update for me: I got a call from the nurse first thing this morning. My RE sent my blood from yesterday's estradiol draw to another lab, at the nearby hospital to have it re-tested using a different assay. It came back at 17! Apparently I really am an outlier!!! I'm exactly like that one other woman who's blood didn't react properly to the antibody in the estradiol assay my RE's lab uses. My blood reads about 100x what it really is with their typical assay, so my estrogen has been fine all along, the standard test my RE's lab uses just doesn't work properly on my blood! In the hundreds and hundreds of women they've worked with this is only the second time they have seen this- crazy!
This means that I get to start my stims on Thursday!!!! From now on my estradiol blood draws will need to be sent to the lab at the hospital so it can have an assay run on it that works properly with my funky blood. I've never been so happy to be a weirdo in my life:)

@Aqualov: OMG! I'm so glad for you that there is an explanation to all of this E2 craziness! Of course, I'm sorry you've had to deal with all of this run-around, but in the end, it's so good to know that your body is not the issue. Onward to stimming! Congratulations on getting to start! Sending you hugs!
apricot / 344 posts
@Aqualov: how strange! But so great that you found out and are able to start stimming! Also, thanks for sharing with us all. So good to have these little nuggets of information for those we may encounter along the way. Wishing you lots of luck for a great cycle!
pear / 1881 posts
@Aqualov: so odd, but SO awesome that you can start stims in two days!!! Do you have all your meds ready to go?
cherry / 107 posts
@Amorini: My thoughts exactly! Being delayed sucks, but I'm so glad that it's an issue with the test and that my estrogen is actually perfect.
@waiting4you: @AmeliaBedilia: @waiting4you: @NorthStar: Thanks
@NorthStar: My meds have been ready to go for weeks lol!

@Aqualov: Thank goodness!!!
@waiting4you: Those are beautiful embryos. Bottom left looked like my G's emby. x
@GreenThumb: No news at all, we go in blind.
I am feeling like we'll get bad news. Can't shake it.
pear / 1986 posts
@Aqualov: OMG that is the craziest thing I've ever heard! I'm so glad they finally figured this out for you and you can start your cycle!!
@jaguar: I know after all you've been through it is very hard to be optimistic or excited. But you know you have sweet G and that it CAN work for you. I have hope for you!
