@jaguar: The good news is that your bad feelings won't influence the outcome, so white knuckle it, if you have to! If your embie wants to come into the world, she or he will be super sticky no matter what!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@GreenThumb: It feels like we got so lucky with her, we've been unlucky ever since!
@Amorini: That's the problem.. none of my embryos ever want to come into the world.

@jaguar: I felt that way yesterday, you never know- things can change so quickly! Wishing great things for your transfer
Want to see something hilarious? I went on a Dr. Google binge. Apparently owning a pet rabbit can cause antibodies that react with the estradiol test, among others. I have 3 of them and have had bunnies since I was 12- wonder if this is why? So weird! http://www.karger.com/Article/PDF/292323

@jaguar: Us, too. Sometimes I still can't believe little A is part of our lives considering what has happened since.

Anyone feel kinda crampy after transfer? Seems like I don't remeber this from last time. Not in pain so to say, but definitely feels uncomfortable now and then.

@waiting4you: Gorgeous embryos!!!! Hope you have some nice relaxing chill time over the next few days after all the stress surrounding this process! Good luck!!!!!!!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@waiting4you: I had a few twinges, but nothing much. I think we all focus a ton on any little twinge- it's only natural. Try to relax and watch a comedy.
persimmon / 1132 posts
@waiting4you: I was a teeny bit crampy, more bloated. Different for everyone!
@Mrs.Pinky: Good luck today!!!!!! Thinking of you! ETA: Oops, just realized I'm a day off!
@jaguar: Thinking only good thoughts for you and hoping so hard this is the magic embie!

I had really bad nausea and bloating last night. I hope it wasn't just dinner. I'm thinking positively.

Just got the call from the the embryologist, unfortunately our 3rd embryo didn't make it to freeze. He's still very confident that the two we transferred were excellent and should have a positive outcome. Sure do hope he's right. To go from 14 eggs at ER to 2 embryos and nothing to freeze on day 5 is a hard pill to swallow. Even if it wasn't for right away, it was nice thinking we would potentially have one for the future even if this did work out this cycle.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@waiting4you: hugs! That is really hard to go from so many to 2. The two did look great though! I was in a very similar situation so I know how crappy it is. One in the freezer would have made the TWW less stressful. Hopefully these two are all you need.
apricot / 344 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I feel like it's even harder because this is our last chance. At least till 2017. The thought of waiting 11 months to try this again, if this doesn't work, literally makes me sick to my stomach. We could figure out how to come up with the $ for a FET, but not ANOTHER fresh cycle. I know we have no control over this but darn if it isn't so hard to stay positive. That call was definitely deflating.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@waiting4you: ugh! That's so hard. This process would be hard enough if it were covered by insurance. The money is an extra jab. I'm trying not to think about a bad outcome.
pear / 1881 posts
@jaguar: I am not sure if it is Thursday there yet or not, but either way, wishing you the best of luck on your transfer
cherry / 107 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I've been trying to do that more lately too. I'm trying only vocalize positive things- give myself some kind of positive placebo effect. I figure we've has sooo much go wrong, statistically something is bound to go right soon, so this is going to work!
@waiting4you: That's a scary situation. I'm sorry you're in it but am hoping soooo hard that there embryos stick and you don't need to worry about it. It's crazy how stress can make you physically ill.
I've been trying to cut down my stress- it's crazy high: my mom was killed a few years ago (fungal meningitis outbreak) and the lawsuit for her death is just coming to a head (I take care of this so my brothers don't have to), my dad is dying, my grandma's (my mom's mom) dementia has now become so bad she can't write checks to pay her bills (and I'm her Power of Attorney) and I'm also legal guardian of and take care of my adult little brother, who is mentally ill since my mom died and my dad had become to ill to do it.
My new mantra has become: I'm not going to stress over that- *deep breath*. If I can't change the situation, there's no sense stressing over it. Not that it always works, lol, but I figure every time it does is less stress hormones coursing though my body, which is a good thing. It actually helps more than I thought it would- like mini-meditation.
@jaguar: I probably won't be back on before you go in for your transfer so I wanted to wish you the best of luck now!!!

I got a positive on a digital today!! Feeling like things are moving in the right direction! I won't believe it until I get the first beta tomorrow, but I've never had a positive on a digital with my 2 chemicals so I feel relieved. Thank you for putting up with my crazy testing. I was so zen during stims, but I can't seem to keep it together during this phase !

@GreenThumb: I was tempering my excitement before just in case but now... Ahhh! Yay!! So excited to hear about your soon to be + Beta!
apricot / 344 posts
@Aqualov: reading your post hit close to home, and I'm so sorry for all you have on your plate. I definitely feel like it's your turn to have some positivity come to you! My hubby and I have had quite a few immediate family deaths the last 3 years, both our dads had open heart surgery and my dad was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Luckily the cancer is gone and the surgeries were successful. It's amazing how much we can handle when we have no choice. Kudos to you for your continued strength. You have a great attitude and this will surely carry you through. Hugs to you and thank you for sharing.
@GreenThumb: very very exciting!!!!! Soon you'll get that confirmation and can start to officially celebrate!

@GreenThumb: Whoo Hoo!! Positive digi is awesome and things are definitely moving in the right direction!! Is it the weeks one or just positive vs negative? Positive thoughts for tomorrow!
persimmon / 1132 posts
@waiting4you: I'm so sorry there are none that made it to freeze. We had huge drops, too, and only ended up with 2. It was 22 retrieved, 14 mature, 10 fertilized and 2 "pretty good" ones! It was a freeze-all due to OHSS so they did make it to freeze, but I was miserably depressed for days with this news. I'm really hoping the perfect embies in your belly are all you need and keep your hands full through 2017 and beyond! sending hugs.
@Aqualov: I agree, it's your time for some wonderful goodness from the universe. You are a tough lady and all of these hard times are going to make you an even more amazing mom than you would already be (if I'm not mistaken, you're going for #1, right?!).
@GreenThumb: Congrats on the positive digital! Hooray! You are totally allowed to freak out any time you need!
AFM, I haven't done my HPTs yet because I was being silly/paranoid and waiting for the second beta. I just got the results and I'm pretty sure there will be some crazy pink line action happening: 1474. More than double! What could this mean, beta gurus? I go back in one week for another beta.
apricot / 344 posts
@Amorini: huge numbers!!! That's awesome!!! You'll have to post those beautiful dark pink lines for us to see, and celebrate with you. And thanks for the boost of confidence with your numbers and now positive outcomes! While I don't have any beta info for you, I'm interested to see what others will post. Congratulations again!!

@Amorini: It could mean twins!!! How exciting! Did you get to schedule an ultrasound? Once I my numbers hit 1,000 I was able to have an ultrasound. Umm... you hit 1,000 so quick! Awesome, lady!
persimmon / 1132 posts
@agold: @waiting4you: It's starting to feel almost sort of real. There's definitely at least one in there cooking up a storm. They didn't mentioned u/s yet. I think the RE does it at 6 and then 9 weeks.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Amorini: Those are good weeks for appointments. I couldn't see the heart beat for a few weeks. Then it was just that we could "see" it and another week later before we could hear it.
pear / 1881 posts
@Amorini: Awesome numbers! My guess would be twins, but either way, you've got one sticky baby!!
cherry / 107 posts
@waiting4you: I'm sorry your husband (and you) have had such loss in your lives. So glad to hear that your dads are doing well now
@Amorini: Yes, we're trying for our first, just under 3 years now.

@Amorini: wow! I'm totally betting it's twins. Did you do assisted hatching? I'm excited for you!

Thanks guys. Transfer is in a few hours time. I didn't sleep last night thinking about all the things that could happen... would it thaw, would it grow, would they come in this morning and find it was a dud, and have to quickly thaw another not-so-great one...all of these could have happened, and I'll have no idea until I actually get in there.
All these positives are awesome in here, but it's making me think I'll break the streak again like I always do.
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: I will be keeping you in my thoughts and hoping this one is your sticky baby.
and lots of hugs!

@Amorini: Fantastic beta again! This is such wonderful news!! Congratulations! An ultrasound will be right around the corner!!
@waiting4you: I am hoping that this transfer is all you need! I'm sorry to hear that there were no frozen embies.
@Aqualov: I am really sorry that you have been through so much. You are such a strong woman to take on so much. I hope these next steps with IVF go smoothly and set you on a much smoother path.
@Mrs.Pinky: Wishing you a ton of luck tomorrow!!
@NorthStar: It was just the positive/negative... I'm still really nervous for tomorrow! After three failures in a row, it's tough to feel any other way.
@Amorini: @Aqualov: @waiting4you: Less than 24 hours now...
apricot / 344 posts
So I think I've decided to do a test tomorrow just to confirm its negative and the trigger is completely out of my system. That way if I get anxious and test closer to beta I can be 100% sure that lines I'm seeing are real (or potentially real). Though I'm still not sure I'll take any tests prior.

@jaguar: sending you hugs, prayers and luck! There will be no streak-breaking here! let us know how it goes!

Meet Olaf!
They rated him a 4AB and he grew from a day 4 yesterday to an expanded blast this morning.

@jaguar: gorgeous! Olaf is perfect! Now stick little embie! Fx for a fast TWW
nectarine / 2192 posts
@jaguar: yea! Praying for a quick TWW And a spot on the October due date board for you!
This so the longest TWW ever! I'm so terrified of that phone call tomorrow. I keep reminding myself that my doc, who usually seems to estimate low, seemed way more positive and estimated 65% chance. Grow babies, grow!
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: Looks amazing!!! Stick baby stick!! Hoping for a fast and restful TWW!
@AmeliaBedilia: I am so hoping for amazing news for you tomorrow!!
Well blood is drawn, now to wait for the call. I know I've had a lot of positive tests, but my gut is just telling me it is a chemical. My mom says it's just a defense mechanism, and I hope she is right!
