@jaguar: Olaf is beautiful! Rest easy!
@AmeliaBedilia: I know each minute goes by so slow but you are so close. One more sleep and you're there!
@GreenThumb: Can't wait to hear your news today! I think it's totally normal and healthy to prepare for the worst...especially when you've been through so much. Just try to let it not steal your joy when it's totally blaring !
@waiting4you: How are you feeling?!
@Mrs.Pinky: Today's your beta, too, today, right? GL!

@Amorini: feeling ok, though had a rough night last night. Was nauseous from 2 am on. Didn't sleep either. At one point I got up and got a trash can just in case. While I would like to chalk this up to "symptoms", I've been feeling this way off and on frequently since the middle of stims (my E2 was more than double at peak this round vs last) so I'm guessing it's the estrace and the endometrin. Had a pretty good headache too. Also feel this dull ache on my hip bones and under. Kinda strange.
And, took a test this morning around 3 am. While I was expecting it to be nice and negative so I'd have a baseline for future tests, there was a faint positive 2dp5dt. Definitely too early to be anything other than trigger still in my system. We'll see if/when I test again. 7 days!!
The other weird thing is the last two days for breakfast I've been super hungry! Like give me a chicken sandwich/full meal type hungry. That's not like me at all! I'm a skip breakfast kind of person or if I do eat it's something super small. This morning I made a handful of chicken potstickers with soy sauce.

@jaguar: Awwww! Olaf is beautiful! Did the doctors seem positive for your outcome? Take it easy today

@jaguar: Looks fantastic! Stick baby stick! Hoping for a fast and restful TWW for you my dear!
@AmeliaBedilia: Hoping for a wonderful number for you tomorrow! It won't be long now.
@Amorini: Hope you are feeling great!
@waiting4you: Hoping your TWW goes by really fast. Just ONE week left now, right?!
@NorthStar: @Amorini: @waiting4you: Thank you so much for your well wishes!
Blood was drawn about two hours ago and now I just wait for the call. My gut says that it is a chemical. My mom says that is just a defense mechanism and let's hope she is right.

@GreenThumb: thanks. I'm hoping for a great number. From what I understand, last time your quality might have been compromised due to the quantity. This round was so different and so the quality should be much better. Hang in there!
I'm off work tomorrow and beta is at 8:00. It's good that I'll be able to answer the phone easily, and I can drive to DH's work if I want or need. We ordered a tractor for the farm which will be delivered at noon. One of my friends might get off work early so we could hang out while I wait. Ack! I am feeling surprisingly positive but still scared.

@AmeliaBedilia: Thank you for the much needed support. I know logically it was just a totally different cycle than before, but it is so tough feeling like this was our last chance (financially) for awhile and I am just getting older (38 in March) and very weary of the whole process. TTC has been the whole of my marriage and my life and my finances since 2011. I want to find "ME" again apart from the rollercoaster of IF.
I am so glad to hear that you will have the day off tomorrow to hear your news and process. I'm sending tons and tons of positive thoughts your way!
PS: I wish I could come and check out your farm. I have been meaning to ask how your renovations have been going and what your plans are for the spring with your land!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@GreenThumb: thanks. Renovations are coming along and should be done in March. They should have the back three rooms and bathroom finished and DH thinks we can move into that next weekend. I have a work trip, so he will probably get some help moving- plus, it's much easier to get out of lifting by not being there rather than telling people I'm pregnant. We won't move most furniture so we can stage our old house to sell. We will plant a bunch of hardwood trees, more Christmas trees, and start the orchard. Where are you located?
apricot / 344 posts
@GreenThumb: your description of wanting to find "you" aside from TTC was so spot on! I've been married for 3+ years and TTC for 2.5 of those. It's pretty much consumed our marriage. Financially, emotionally and physically. I keep saying I just want to get to the "end", whatever that may be. Either we are successful or we have exhausted our options and move on sans children. Praying today is your day and you can find you again!

I pop in here to see how everyone is doing now and then and I am so excited to see all the s the next few days will bring!! I've been through losses with several of you and know how much you've been through. I am so hopeful for all of the testers and just know you will have your babies soon.

@AmeliaBedilia: That sounds fantastic! DH and I would love to have a farm! When we joke about winning the lottery, the plan is to head to southern VT (we are in MA) and buy a farm. DH is really interested in raising goats and making cheese . Christmas trees and an orchard sound amazing!
@waiting4you: Thank you! Yes, it is tough to feel like we might be drawing near the end of this journey, but there is definitely solace in the ability to accept and move on. And I am finally almost there.

@GreenThumb: @waiting4you: I hear you both on wanting to be "me" again. I've been on melatonin 5mg for egg quality. I started it the same time as I started cabergoline, and I've felt so awful on them. RE said I could stop melatonin after ER, and between that and feeling some hope that there are babies in my uterus and trying to think more positively, I feel more like myself, and more positive. I Feel like that if this works, I can put the depression and negativity behind.

crazy! I'm laying in bed trying to relax and there are tornado warnings coming across the tv. While I sort of pay attention to them, I don't go and hide in the bathroom or anything. Well I just got word that a tornado hit my brothers house (he lives about 15 mins away). My mom lives right around the corner from him so as soon as it was safe she rushed over there and luckily his house was unharmed (and he and his girlfriend are safe). Just over the holidays he had a huge tree on the side of the house break a limb and it missed his house. He paid the removal company to thin the tree out a bit. Good thing he did because just about all the rest of the tree came down in the tornado (and by the grace of god missed his house AGAIN!).
SOOOOOO much for relaxing!!! my heart was racing there for a bit.

@AmeliaBedilia: @GreenThumb: @waitingforyou: I feel the same way -- waiting to exhale and move on... And even now that I'm getting positive betas these last couple of days, it still seems way, way too early to do that.
@waitingforyou: So glad everyone is okay! OMG, like you need more drama!
@AmeliaBedilia: Your farm sounds so dreamy!

It wasn't meant to be. Beta was only 12 so surely it is on its way down after having all those positives earlier in the week. Have to do a repeat on Saturday in any case just to make sure. As is the case with IVF, nothing is for certain.
apricot / 344 posts
@GreenThumb: My heart is absolutely broken for you. I know how hopeful you were going into this. I don't know much about low betas and chemicals so I can't speculate, but maybe just maybe there's still a chance? Either way, I'm so so sorry.

@waiting4you: Unfortunately, having been through this several times before, I am sure that this is not going to turn out positive. They just like to double check that the HCG is going down appropriately to rule out things like ectopics...

@jaguar: That is such a perfect looking embryo! Best of luck!
@waiting4you: Are you on PIO shots? I started to have pain in my hip joints almost immediately after starting those.
@AmeliaBedilia: Best of luck tomorrow. I'd love to see the farm too!
@GreenThumb: I'm so sorry about your low beta result.

Thanks for all you sharing good luck and positive thoughts
I want to be super sensitive here because there some ups and downs going on but warning I'm about to mention pregnancy....
I've been holding off on posting anything but last night I took a hpt fully thinking it would be negative but it was my first ever BFP!!
Today's beta confirmed it with a hcg of 1210
Still in shock and cautiously optimistic. Beta again on Monday.
Who's next?
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Mrs. Pinky: CONGRATULATIONS! Holy crap, that's a high first beta number. What day post transfer are you?
apricot / 344 posts
@agold: no PIO shots, though I've wondered if those would be more comfortable than the 3 times a day endometrin inserts. Probably one of the most awful parts of this physically. Shots don't really bother me anymore, though I've heard the PIO shots hurt LONG after you stop?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@Mrs. Pinky: OMG congrats! I'm next (tomorrow) and super anxious already. I hope I can follow your lead.

@Mrs. Pinky: wow great beta #!!! Congratulations!!!! That seems late for a 1st beta? Ours does the first beta at 9dp5dt either way, congrats! What are your thoughts on twins?
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@waiting4you: I've now been doing the PIO shots for a long time. Its true that the actual shot isn't the problem. Its the settling seasame oil. Still, I'd rather do this than suppositories. But what do I know about those, really? Best of luck, doll!
@Mrs. Pinky: Oh. My. Gosh. So VERY high.

I've had 4 friends IRL today who have announced pregnancies (3 with their 3rd). Trying to muster up every ounce of happiness for them while also sustaining a silent UGH for myself

@GreenThumb: Aw man. I'm so sorry. That sucks.
@endymion4: Ooooooh, I hate that. I'm being very mean to them in my head for you. Silly people with their insta-pregnancies!.
@waiting4you: Holy moly- glad your family is alright!

Thanks guys! I think our embryo LOOKS pretty good? It looked different again when they showed it to us on camera from the petri dish just before transfer.. so they were happy it had continued growing. 4AB is pretty cool!
They don't give odds or anything, just wished us luck.
Lying in the transfer room yesterday was just like... oh man, how long do we have to keep doing this? I'm desperate for a healthy take home baby.

@endymion4: Those days are HARD.
@AmeliaBedilia: Good luck! You've held out testing, right?

@travellingbee: I hope you're right! x

@Aqualov: haha--thank you. I do really love them all and am SO happy for them (and for the baby snuggles I'll get to have), but just feeling down not knowing what our next steps are and whether this is ever going to work for us!

@GreenThumb: I don't post here typically but I have kept my eye on this thread this month for personals reasons and because there have been so many transfers. My heart breaks for you. I am so sorry.
