@dc yoga bee: Good luck with the new meds! It sounds like you're doing a good job keeping yourself distracted. I think you're both awesome and crazy to want to run a half! Running is not my sport, lol.

@Raspberry: is it from the same batch as last time? If so I would throw away the whole lot. I think you can also contact the company to see if it's a known bad batch and if so they will replace it. But I don't have first hand experience with that.

@nanilani: I'm sorry to hear that. Unpredictable cycles are so much work - I hope you have a shorter wait for O this time to try again.

@SweetiePie: That makes a lot of sense about the batch thing. They came with a combo pack with OPKs which I am really happy with. I think I will just hold out a day or two and pick up an FRER.

Those are 11.99 each or 19.99 for two here (Canada) - expensive!

@Raspberry: Thanks. I know I'm not really out until AF shows, but the pattern is similar to past cycles before TTC so I'm not optimistic. Despite my crazy cycles I'm more likely to be the rule than the exception so it's not worth getting my hopes up (says the woman who's been googling "BFP after temp drop"). It's only cycle #2, and cycle #1 was more NTNP. I am happy though that my first month using OPKs made me much more confident on when I O'ed which gives me a good game plan for next cycle.

@Raspberry: Are they wondfo brand? I haven't had any issues with shadows with those, but I know sometimes there are specific batches that are faulty.

I got all geared up to start using OPKs yesterday and then I realized I've somehow lost my wondfos over the last month Thank god for amazon prime so I can start testing tonight.

@skinnycow: No, it's the Easy@Home ones, but I think they're basically the same thing. Good luck with the OPKs this month!

@Raspberry: These are the wondfo's I get. Not sure how much your tests are, I thought 50 for $17 was a great deal and I didn't feel bad at all for testing a few extra times here and there when I was getting a bit antsy

Closing in on the end of my tww as I prepare for a vacation. Feel asleep earlier today without knowing it until my DH woke me up as I promised to make dinner. I've been fighting lightheadness and increasingly strong nausea at times, and very tender boobs and nipples. And tonight I've been sneezing and stuffed up like crazy - totally out of the blue. If I'm not pregnant - I've decided that once I get back from Scotland I have to go to the doctor cause then there is definitely something wrong with me. Maybe the tww has driven me plum crazy?!???

@CoolCate: Thanks, if things don't work out this month I will give those a try. Not my favorite thing to have to stock up on!

@CoolCate: last time I got a bfp two days before AF. I'm due Friday and haven't decided if I'll test before then or wait. So I could test right before we leave. Last cycle I tested a lot since AF was so long after the loss that I'm not really feeling like testing as much this time. And weird symptoms aside - I don't feel really hopeful this time like I did when I had a bfp - so I am debating just waiting to see if AF shows on Friday and if not, test then. It's just so weird not feeling hopeful but having possible symptoms that aren't fading.

Got my OPKs tonight around 9PM and took one immediately... Decent line but definitely not positive yet (only on CD 11).

I wasn't going to test this morning, but my temp went back up to where it was a few days ago so I went for it. The test was negative but if yesterday's temp drop was an implantation dip then it'd probably be too early to test anyway (my tests have a sensitivity of 20mIU/mL). Fighting the urge to buy some FRERs over lunch! I'd normally expect AF around today (12DPO) but no sign yet, not even any spotting yesterday that I usually get the day my temp drops. Either way, I'm playing the waiting game to test again in a few days or for AF.

@nanilani: hoping the best for you. I'm trying to wait until Friday when AF is due. Last time I got pregnant i didn't get a bfp until one day before AF was due. this waiting is hard so I've got my fingers crossed for you.

@MrsJBeeG: Fx for you too! From the start of the TWW I've had a gut feeling that this wouldn't be my cycle and was okay with that. Now with my temp rebounding and no spotting yet I've upgraded to cautiously optimistic. I didn't chart before my first pregnancy so I have no idea what my normal is, only that I got a BFP 15 days after I think I may have conceived. No early symptoms that time around. That would put me testing sometime around this weekend. Such a long time to wait!

@nanilani: that's so interesting. I too have felt like this cycle won't be mine. I've been doing better about symptom spotting because of that feeling as I knew the last time I was pregnant early on. A friend didn't help me though as I was talking to her - she said well that time ended in a loss so maybe the feeling it isn't your cycle means it could be and could be a sticky one this time around. A weird sort of logic I suppose. So much for friends to keep you grounded in the crazy tww.

@MrsJBeeG: First off, I'm sorry for your loss I don't think my gut is calibrated correctly either. With LO I really didn't expect a positive -- I just thought it would be good practice to take a HPT once a month since my cycles are long and irregular and lucked out. I couldn't believe I'd had anything close to a 28 day cycle.

At any rate, I allowed myself the last bit of crazy for a few days and took a FRER at lunch (negative). I'm changing my test date to 7/21 (FF's recommendation, Ovia had suggested today) unless AF shows sooner.

@nanilani: I think we will be test buddies then. That's the day I expect AF. Just haven't decided if I'm testing before then or just waiting. Other than after my loss, I'm regular like a clock and expect to be back at a 28 day cycle. I'll be posting from Scotland regardless - which makes it more fun.

@nanilani: @mrsjbeeg: I'm just at the beginning of my tww! I don't blame you guys for giving in to the crazy. I'm at work and all I can think about is if it's possible to know 4dpo! gah!
Trying not to get my hopes up too much, this is my first round with meds after all, would be pretty dang awesome to get a bfp on our first attempt.
Every twinge and ache is making me paranoid!

    apricot / 374 posts

@CoolCate: I hope your head is screwed on better than mine is! Lol, I felt sane at the beginning of my TWW but Ovia telling me I could test today got me overexcited. Do yourself a favor and stick with the most conservative test date estimate if you can stand it! (FF is mine.)

@CoolCate: my DH is the worst this cycle. I have no idea why. But he (again) asked me last night had I tested. I told him it's too soon still and I'm waiting until Friday. He is not helping the crazy. I also randomly got a surge of creamy CM last night - which seems weird 3 days before AF. Pulled up notes from ttc cycles and don't usually have that happen. That made me get wonder but I'm afraid to get hopes up. Still holding off testing - leaving for Scotland this morning so that should take my mind off the wait and stop me from insanely googling "what does sore boobs, mild nausea and cm mean three days before AF" or similar phrases.

Ugh, this is kind of embarassing.... but DH and I just couldn't make it happen last night. He's sick, stressed, and worked 12 hours yesterday

We BD Monday night and we're going to try again tonight. Hopefully that will be enough!

@skinnycow: Don't beat yourself up over it, life happens! I've heard that some doctors say EOD until O is confirmed with BBT is the best plan. And FWIW, I didn't O until 2-3 days after my positive OPK.

I am a POAS addict. It is 8DPO (approx) and I caved. In the designated 5 minutes, there was no visible line. However, I swear there is a line now. It is pinkish, but it is blurry (like not a defined line but a bit fuzzy) and so so so light. I'm pretty sure I'm willing it into existence.... so I guess the only way to know is to wait until tomorrow like the original plan was. I have gotten positives several time on 9DPO, so hopefully it will be positive for sure tomorrow.

@Dr. Pepper: fingers crossed for you! I saw a faint line at 8DPO and it was positive the next day. Rooting for you!

Does anyone after ovulation feel like they are just cooking all the time? Like, I feel like I have a sunburn or something, just so hot and warm. I assume it's my body burning off the ovulation hormones (says google?)

@CoolCate: it's the rise in progesterone. I hope Google is joking with burning off ovulation hormones

@Dr. Pepper: I got a similar positive at 8DPO with DD on a wondfo. I wasn't 100% sure if it was actually positive or I was just seeing things. I bought a FRER later that day and it was much more obvious (as was the wondfo I took at 9DPO).

I'm changing my poas date to the 28th. af should either be here next week or the week after (if af actually even bothers to show up lol)

@Dr. Pepper: Fx I was trying to will a line into existence yesterday morning but then an FRER was like lol, nope. Yours sounds much more promising, especially knowing you've gotten positives at 9DPO before!
