My first thought was securities exchange. SEC also stands for sweet excellent child. Haha!

Like PP, I see no problem with SEC. It could refer to any number of nonoffensive acronyms. I'd be more concerned with initials that spell actual words, like some of the previous posts. My old boss's initials were RAT Lastname. Rather than signing documents R Lastname, he always used all three first and middle initials, so I guess he just owned it. Still better than some of the ones previously mentioned.

SEC is totally fine! DH loves it when things ask for his initials because he gets to write BS everywhere. So sometimes odd initials can be fun.
Although, I did meet a woman who, after she got married her initials became STD...

God it's sad that I'm a registered rep and SEC makes me think of football instead of the Securities and Exchange Commission! I've lived in the South too long!!! I don't think either of these things have a negative connotation so I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I think football conference but think your names are beautiful and would have no problems giving a kid those initials.
