My almost two week old hates his (rock n play) bassinet and instead prefers to be held (and ideally to use me as a human pacifier) at all times. We've tried the usual tricks - putting a nursing tank in there, using a heating pad on low to warm it up to body temperature before putting him in....no matter how out cold he is he'll wake up in a few minutes screaming. He will tolerate the swing or bouncer for short periods when awake or happy but doesn't nap in them, and likes the boppy lounger a bit more but it's not a safe sleep device. I feel like as a result his naps are not that great, and it's hard to keep him awake for feeding, as his real preferred place to sleep is while latched on, which I'm trying to prevent...

I know it's natural with such a little baby that they want to be held all the time, but how do I get him more comfortable with his bassinet? He also seems to hate swaddling - we've tried several types and any time he's alert enough to realize he's in it, he gets very agitated and tries desperately to break out.
