Player bites another player during World Cup Game

Ok, so I've been following Uruguay for a while, and especially Suarez's antics. Basically, what it comes down to is this: he is a GREAT soccer player (one of the best in the world), but a TERRIBLE human being. From racist remarks (spitting in the face of black players), an intentional handball that got him ejected from the last world cup, to his 3 biting incidents.....I think FIFA should (and I think probably will due to the immense amount of pressure and press surrounding the bite). I think that Uruguay, no matter how talented of a player he is, should not allow him to play on the team. He is giving the whole team a bad reputation, and they have some immensely talented players--players who manage to stay classy, and play hard.

    And, just for fun:

@MediaNaranja: good point I forgot to mention the racist remark he made about Evra.

Suarez has been suspended for 9 games and barred from all soccer-related activities for 4 months.

@lawbee11: Good. I wish he was kicked out for good, but that's wishful thinking.

@lawbee11: and fined 100,000 swiss francs. So..more than $100,000 USD! He deserves it. And 4 months is missing ALOT because he does play for the Liverpool club and they have finals this summer. Oh well, buddy!

@CupQuakeWalk: what do you think? I think it was a weak ruling.

I am glad they did something, in this case, I feel like it's better than nothing.

I just find it hilarious that Suarez was feigning a mouth injury. Maybe he should look for an acting job.

@looch: I love his teammate who wanted Chiellini to cover up!

@littlek: actually, I am still PISSED OFF at something he did a few years back (purposeful handball to avoid the corner kick that would've caused the other team's win), so I think he's a huge douche anyway. I hate his guts. But realistically speaking, I think he's getting due measure (for fifa's standards). To be taken out for 4 months hurts a player- a lot! That's a whole lot of games missed. So, I guess to them that's a good punishment? Like I said: I think he's an asshole for so many MORE reasons than this anyway.

@autumnlove: hahahaha I know. They defended Suarez. Wth?
