So the Supreme Court just ruled that government sanctioned/sponsored prayer before government events is okay.

I'm not shocked they did it because well... look at who is on the Supreme Court. But what was surprising to me in the article above is that CNN states 77% of Americans are fine with prayer in government meetings. I would honestly expect that number to be much lower, at least closer to 50/50.

Curious to do an informal poll here to see if that percentage holds up!

Personally I'm not a fan. I'm Christian so I guess it shouldn't matter to me because the prayers are of my faith anyways... but I'm just uncomfortable with any entanglement between religion and government. I feel like it is inappropriate for our (secular) government to favor any religion at all, or partake in any religious ceremony/prayer.
