My toddler is really getting into saying her prayers before dinner. I would love to read at what ages people incorporate different religious/spiritual activities into their LO's lives.

A few nights ago I was thinking that this would be a good series. FWIW, LO is 8.5 months and we do dinner prayers now. Around a year we'll start family worship and bedtime prayers.

I agree and I'd like to see secular/agnostic family perspective too. My parents were non religious nd raised three kids two are not religious nd one is Christian. We hope to be similarly open nod supportive as LO gets older to choose for himself although we're both agnostic so I'd love to hear how others have done the same!

@scg00387: I was thinking the same thing about having a secular family also represented. It would be especially nice to hear from moms of older kids; how do you handle the question by your LO of why you don’t go to church? I know how to respond and explain my opinion to other adults; but I’m not sure what to tell LO when she asks why we don’t go to church like her friends do.

@scg00387: I agree, I would love to hear about what secular families do to teach about faith and compassion and other morals. I know there were a lot of threads about this around the holidays.
I am working on a post for my blog with what we currently do which mostly is night time and dinner prayers. We are curious about how to handle church now that she's a toddler.
