Hey everyone! Per your excellent recommendations, I returned my Lillebaby and bought a Beco Gemini! I am IN LOVE. Thank you all!!

My next big question involves public transportation, all day walking, a four month old, and babywearing comfortably. I live in DC and I don't drive or have a partner. I have a huge list of places I want to take my baby to via metro this summer, starting next week, and I've never taken her on public transport before. I am so terrified.

Do you ladies have any tips for all day babywearing on public transportation (including long walks)? How do you stay comfortable, how do you help a 4 month old stay comfortable? What clothes should you wear/bring, how do you haul what you need if you bottlefeed and feed solids, etc? My baby hasn't been on any extended walks in the Beco and I'm afraid she might get really uncomfy.

I want to bring my stroller (I'll be going during working hours on weekdays), but the elevator situation is pretty bad sometimes and I'm terrified i'll have to fold it up and carry my baby and navigate escalators. Plus the nightmare of taking it on a bus!

Also, our metro is SUPER loud and horrible, like high pitched grinding sounds underground and awful overhead speakers/conductors who talk at a deafening level. I bought a pair of earmuffs that are made to muffle loud sounds and protect a baby's hearing. Would any of you use them, or do you not mind?

I'd really appreciate any advice you can give. Thank you all
