We've not had the stomach virus in this house since DS2 was born. Of course two days before my inlaws come and we have a non-refundable paid venue booked for DS1's birthday party, DS2 wakes up puking in the middle of the night. If DS1 gets it, game over. I'm crushed.

Hoping that the bug doesn't spread! Clorox wipes really help us whenever a stomach bug crops up. It is amazing how many viruses that cause vomiting exist

@travellingbee: Grape juice! You, your husband, and your older son should all drink pure grape juice multiple times a day. It can help ward off the stomach virus.

I'm sorry. It sucks. We had to cancel a joint 1st/4th bday because older got sick with horrible croup the night before and we spent it in the ER. she seemed ok with it though and we set up the party in our dining room for just our family. Maybe the venue would let you reschedule if needed even if they won't refund?

We just escaped a stomach bug that only my two year old got.

Bummer! But there's hope! DD1 had a stomach bug a week ago and none of the rest of us got it! I did a lot of lysol-ing things when she came home and tried to keep her quarantined as much as possible, but you know how kids are. There were still plenty of chances for those germs to be shared.

Update – well it's the morning of the party and so far the birthday boy is fine, so we are going ahead with the party! Hopefully he stays well until and through the party.

2nd update- so… We made it through the party with no puking. But my mother-in-law fell down on the bowling lanes and broke her shoulder.
