In terms of "instruments", she also likes her toy piano and toy xylophone (although this was more a hit when she was younger). The parum drum was actually a dud for us but I know most kids like it.

@littlebug: we have this and it's great! pretty sturdy to withstand toddlers and you can actually kinda tune it so it doesn't sound horrendous!

@Truth Bombs: I was disappointed in that toy! There's not a lot of variety, mostly shaking things.
I'd make my own kit, via amazon: I would get some maracas, a percussion block, rain stick, a crow sounder, tambourine and castanets.
