@Smurfette: I have no earthly idea, but you better believe that I will bring it up when I follow up with them later this week. I could have saved a lot of time and money if they had just done it in office. Six hours in the ER! And no food or water.

Update: I have a UTI and they diagnosed a small sub-chorionic hemorrhage. Six hours and one bag of fluids later, I'm home. My husband will get the meds when he goes out.

@avivoca: Glad you and baby are both ok! I can imagine your OB would be cautious bringing in someone with a fever in case it's the flu or something. Hope you're feeling better soon!

@avivoca: fwiw with my previous pregnancy when I suspected a uti and called my ob he sent me to the ER bc he said that way we could get the urine analysis back quickly whereas if he sent my urine sample to the lab from his office it would be at least a day or two. However he was always accommodating with getting me in for a quick ultrasound. Glad it's just a uti, drink lots of fluids. And I had a suspected sub chorionic hemorrhage too.

@junebugsmama: The fever and backache are gone, but the main side-effect of the medication is nausea, so my morning sickness has turned into 24-hour sickness and I can't throw up. I've never wished to throw up before.

@Mrs. J: I am, thank you! My midwife gave me enough Diclegis to get me through this antibiotic period. I feel amazing!
