We are throwing a joint 2/4 year old party for our kiddos at a gymnastics place. 1 hour class for the kids led by the staff, then cupcakes after.
I am not a fan of party favors personally, but I am wondering if others will be expecting them? We are trying to keep this pretty low key, but this is the first time I have invited kids we don't know (we are inviting kids from my oldest's class).
Also, at this type of party, should I tell parents they can feel free to drop off their 3/4 year old and come back? Or would that sound like I am trying to get rid of people? I don't mind if they stay, of course, but at some point parents don't stick around anymore..right?
by not giving them out. Although, if you have a really amazing idea and actually want to do it, go for it. This doesn't happen often, but we've gotten (or given out) some favors that were a big hit. Usually it was things kids can actually use (beach toys, paint sets, small books...)
I think next year though I am going to have him just pick 5 friends and do something smaller
