I'm thinking about getting a Tile type of product for my husband. There are a ton of other brands on Amazon, too. Does anyone use these and find them helpful? He didn't ask for it, but he does lose his phone and wallet a lot inside our house. I also thought about putting one on our bikes in case they are stolen.
Does anyone use these and have a review/recommendation? There are so many different sizes/styles/brands to choose from.

Tile completely drained my iphone's battery. For a normal human being this probably wouldn't be a big deal, but I constantly have a dying phone. It was good in theory but not in practice.

I love my Tile. I haven't noticed the battery issue mentioned above because it just runs on bluetooth. It's been a lifesaver a bunch of times when my keys have gone missing. I highly recommend.

I got my husband the tile sport for his birthday and he's been happy with it (no battery issues but his phone is brand new). The tile sport supposedly has a longer range and is more durable, which is why I selected that one.

@Anagram: this is also on my list for my husband. We have to look for his keys and wallet regularly. I think he will like it once he sees it being useful. If nothing else I’ll like it 
but I’m just going to try a cheap one at first

I absolutely love my Tile and also haven’t noticed a battery issue. I keep the Bluetooth off, though; so it doesn’t background update. Just rings when I need it to. I can call my phone with my keys or my keys with my phone and I use it far more often than I care to admit

I ordered one for DH, the newer version with replaceable battery. He is constantly losing his wallet and keys, recently he completely lost his wallet and had to cancel all our cards and order a new license etc. I like that it has the app and you can turn on tracking to see its location (guessing this is what drains battery?)

My husband bought one for me, and I will be honest, I haven't used it at all. I thought it was annoying that he did that, even though the intention was good.
We ultimately solved the lost keys problem by switching all our door locks to keypads and I have my car key on a lanyard that I always put on a hook right inside the garage. If I could get a third key, I would solve the problem further by attaching the key to a lanyard inside my two tote bags.

I never lose my keys but frequently misplace my phone--I have a Cube that I LOVED until the battery ran out, I still have to replace it and intend to, but I'm lazy. It's so great to be able to find the phone even when the ringer is turned to silent. I believe with Tile you cannot replace the battery and have to buy a new one, at least that was the case a couple years ago when my dad got this for me as a Christmas gift.

@LCTBQE: how does it work if you have one stuck to your phone? How do you find it? A computer?

@gotkimchi: my tile rings my phone just because they’re connected. I push my tile twice and my phone starts ringing even if it’s on silent.
So I only have one tile, on my key ring, but the tile calls my phone and my phone can make my tile ring.

@gotkimchi: Same! I ordered it for selfish reasons. When he loses his keys, it's always like 30 minutes of looking at a minimum.
