LO just turned one a week and a half ago and now I'm lacking Christmas gift ideas. What did you get your one year old or what do you recommend?

Stuff like wooden puzzles and Mega Bloks are good for that age too.

@loveisstrange: he's the first grandchild for my mom... so he has that already. Which is what's making this so hard!
@autumnlove: he loves books! We can always use more!

we're doing the ikea kitchen as her big gift.
Other things she really loves right now are anything little people, the drum with the instruments inside, a low chair that looks like an elephant (she can easily climb on and off and like to sit and read books there), shopping cart with play food (i think it was like $15 at target) it was great as she was getting steadier on her feet.

Grandpa wanted to give her a "big" gift so we asked for a play kitchen. I got her a puzzle, a truck, a Poppin' Play piano, and some books.
She got this for her birthday in October and it is her absolute favorite toy:

I got my 14 month old nephew one of those play tunnels. Then I ended up getting my 10 month old a tent/tunnel combo. I asked for books and puzzle and I'm hoping for some little people!

My LO is the exact same age as yours and we got her a teepee. In her stocking are board books, bath toys, and some wooden blocks that you can thread shoe laces through. And pouches, oranges, and a sippy cup.
