Just for fun
My husband is in LOVE with names that are a nod to his alma mater, and his current favorite for a girl is Magnolia, nn Maggie (his choice) or Nola (my choice).
Too out there?

I love that name! The drummer from No Doubt named his baby girl Magnolia

I like it! I'm about as conventional as one can be with names so if I like it, it's definitely not too out there

I like both! There's a street near us named Magnolia and I always think how cute it would be as a baby name.

I tried to convince DH to go with Magnolia for #2... It didn't work ;). I still love it, though!

This made me laugh because...well, more personal info than I usually delve into on here, but it fits so perfectly with your question, haha! This starts off sounding random but it doesn't make sense without the background. Anyways, back in my retail days I used to work in a store-within-a-store type setting selling high-end home theater products at a big electronics chain that I won't say the name of to make this less google-able, and that area was called Magnolia. So instead of saying "big electronics store" on my name tag, it said Magnolia in big letters, and then my name was smaller underneath. But most customers didn't realize that section of the store had it's own name, so they would just glance at my name tag and think my name was Magnolia. Literally every day I would hear, "Oh, what a pretty name!" or "That's an unusual name, but I like it!" Negative responses were few and far between. Customers often seemed disappointed when they realized they'd read the tag wrong and I actually have a boring popular name
