I know a little Nola whose name is just that - Nola. It's not a nickname for anything and I think it's sweet.

Nola - insufferable brown-noser at my work. Hate it - but just because I automatically associate it with her.

@Boheme: I 'm not a fan of out-there names and I LOVE that. I think it's different, but not weirdly so, and I love both of those nicknames!!

@travellingbee: There is a little girl with the name Nola who received a cochlear implant at our hospital, and she became our patient ambassador. It has always stuck with me since she's such a brave little girl with such a sweet family!
