Hi all! I need a birthday gift idea for my daughter's school friend.
I know she likes Disney princesses but I'd like to avoid licensed stuff, if possible. I know books are always great but that's my back up. Her parents are both in education (English Lit) and have lots and lots of books.
Party is going to be very small/casual so I believe the gifts will be opened for all to see. Would be nice to have something exciting :)j

Besides Disney princesses, my 4 year old is super into Legos, shopkins, calico critters and playmobile.

Aside from the normal (books, playing with various dolls/stuffed animals, crafts), she is pretty into card games. Uno, Go Fish, memory/matching ones...

Around ge 4 DD was able to start playing the game "Spot It".

Lego sets are big here, as are my little ponies, barbies, puzzles, super why and shopkins.
You can get her some games like the fishing game (for hand eye coordination), zingo, memory games and puzzles.
Or playdoh. Because what kid doesn't like that? Someone got us a slime/putty making kit that was my daughter's favorite for a while.

Playdoh, Magic Clip dolls, books, coloring/painting, magnetic dolls, puzzles. She also recently got into games like Go Fish, the memory game, Chutes & Ladders, etc

For a recent birthday gift, we gave the little girl those "magic" markers that go down invisible, but show color when using the special markers. We paired it with a notepad and the girl really liked it.
