When did you stop putting your LO in onesies? LO is 15.5 months old and I think we are stopping. It is impossible to get him to stand still to snap up a onesie. And for some reason daycare doesn't bother to snap them and LO runs around like a ragtag muffin. Not cute.

great question! LO is 8 months, so we're still doing onesies, but i am wondering what size i should keep buying them up to!

We stopped when summer approached so about 11 months. He goes in them sometimes but ya he doesn't like getting dressed so doing the snaps is such a pita

we still do onesies, but on wknds and for "outfits" we occassionally do shirts... we'll probably move over next summer at 18 months

I used them until he grew out of the 24 month ones. I am not a fan of the exposed back view.

We're still using them at 12 months. I'm hoping to use them through the winter to around 18 months or so.

@looch: agreed. This summer has been tough with the exposed diaper for me!! I will put her in onesies again when winter comes. They're also good for just keeping the kiddo warm!

My son has a really long torso and t-shirts always looked like crop tops on him so he wore onesies for a while. I think I finally stopped putting him in them once the season changed (spring) and I was buying new clothes- around 13 months. I do think they are a pain for diaper changing- especially for day care- so I understand why t-shirts are preferable.

@looch: I totally agree. I am willing to chase him to snap his onesie but it bothers me picking him up from daycare and he looks so sloppy. It's just my vanity, but I want my kid to look cute.

We use them ocasionally (LO is 13 months) but I've been buying regular shirts recently as he is just impossible to dress these days. Anything to make it a little easier and I'm in!

@littlek: I never had this issue, though, even when I left the ends un bottoned. My son's pants always held them in place, so I even used them longer, lol.
@mediagirl: now that we're out of onesies, I have resorted to longer shirts, sounds ridic, but I have my standards!!!!

DD is going to be 12 months in 2 days and we still have her in onesies. its hard to get her to stay still but i have her stand and hold on to me and I try to snap them as quickly as possible.

@littlek: My LO is 16.5 and I still love onesies they are so convenient and especially with the cold coming I dont have to worry about her shirt riding up. I think I will continue until the last onesie size which is 24 months?

I think we were done with onesies by 8 months. I felt like he looked too big to be wearing them anymore. And it was easier to find good looking shirts then.

We still use them at 12.5 months, but we're slowly phasing them out. I prefer shirts over onesies at this point.

DD is only 8 months, so I don't actually *know* this, but I was just thinking of using them until she was walking. No real reason, but it was just a thing in my head that walking babies don't wear onesies - no idea where that opinion came from though!

I still prefer onesies over shirts at almost 15 months. Otherwise, a t-shirt doesn't stay down, and he's always squatting and doing downward dog. His back and front would always be hanging out. I'm not a fan of the diaper sticking out of his pants.
I often put a t-shirt over a onesie, but the t-shirts get much less use. Maybe I'll switch him for potty training? Or whenever he stops fitting in the largest size?

Still going at 17 months. I hate her diaper hanging out and her tummy hanging out in the winter.

Right about one year mark for us. That's when he started walking and diaper changes with a onesie were tough. We had a few in 18 month size that we used very rarely. The ones we were handed down in 24 month size we never used because by then he was potty trained.

I love onesies! I think we'll keep using them until she's too big, so 24 months? She's 17 months and she usually sleeps in onesies and as it gets colder we will layer with one.

We have about half onesies and half shirts at 15 months. It will be getting colder here and I don't want her tummy too cold from being exposed when I pick her up.
I probably will stop using them closer to 24 months. It depends on the outfit and the day too
Oh and I guess if she potty trains early, we will for sure ditch the onesie before 24 months.

We didn't do onesies this summer bc it was too hot...she was 18 months...I primarily used them as undershirts. She's 22 months now and the weather is cooling down but I just have her in long sleeve tops. I'll put her in a onesie if I want to do layers. I never just put her in a onesie as a shirt

She'll be in them for awhile - maybe until we start potty training, but most likely still have her in them at night since she's such a fussy sleeper.
She's almost 15 months old and it's cold here. Even if she's wearing numerous layers, I have to make sure her little tummy and back isn't exposed. But buttoning them is a PITA!

Never! I will keep my son a baby forever by buying him onsies until he leaves for college!!! ( I have some 24 month onsies so my guess is 24 months is as long as I can really hold on)

I found they were really difficult to find in the 24 month sizes. We stopped them about when she was done wih the 18 month sizes, which was probably around 13-14 months. Fortunately, tunic tops are fairly easy to find for girls and look really cute and help with the middle sections hanging out of shirts and pants.

DS is 10 months and I figured I'll probably stop using them after the cold winter months are over.

We stopped during the summer months, but now that it's starting to get colder again, they're back on! LO will be a year in a week and a half!

Still use them occasionally at 20 months!

Almost 12 month and we still use onsies when we can, but most of her fall shirts don't have onsies, so I'll probably keep one underneath to keep her belly warm
